Just what we need, more garbage advertising Surveys.
For what it's worth, I didn't buy the car because the dealership seemed more interested in ripping me off then selling me a car. Americans have become entirely to soft and complacent being duped into thinking that the salesman is doing them the favor. Either demand a bang for the buck or walk and you will see how fast the worm turns.

I have been continually getting calls from 1-866-796-6124 for the last few days with no response on the other end even when I call it back they just hang up. Need help prosecuting this person or business owning this number and harrassing me and others I am sure.

I had been shopping for a car and left my cell phone as a contact.  Soon thereafter I started getting blank messages (nobody was there).  This morning I got a call and didn't even check the number before I picked up (as it urns out, it was this same 866-796-6124 number).  They said they were with a dealership I had been shopping for a car with.  They said they were customer satisfaction with that dealership.  They said the call was being recorded.  They asked how the experience was at this dealership.  And then they asked a very strange question - they asked what car I was looking at.  I said that I had bought the car there.  They asked again what car was it that I purchased.  

I questioned that I didn't understand how they could not know what car I purchased.  They said that they were a PR firm associated with the dealership.  I repeated my question.  They said something quickly and hung up the phone.

I beginning to think this was a scam.  DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO!

Beware there's an ongoing scam on selling fake or worthless extended warranties on cars and may be why they wanted to know your make and model.

Similar event here and called the same day as Dan (the above poster).  While having the tire on my wife's car repaired yesterday,  I shopped for replacing my auto with a new one.  This was at a Honda dealership in Texas.  Today I was called by this number and they left no message.

I received this call and it dropped as soon as I picked up. When I called back it was a Honda call center regaridng a car that I looked at over the weekend. The operator knew my name and the car I looked at and seemed to be a legitimate customer survey followup call. I didn't have to give them any of my information.

It was annoying that the call dropped as soon as I received it.

Call came from a PR firm that Honda retains to find out customer satisfaction regarding your experience. In my case it was Gillman Honda, San Antonio.

unbelievable.  i called the donotcall.org to report them. i also called honda and they of course said i am not in their system so it couldn't be them, but they are they only car dealer ship i have been to and the calls started right after i went there.  I told them they are loosing customers from this for sure and they should look into it.

car dealer??? what the heck??? im 16 and never bought a car before, nor left my number for something like that. how did they get my number????

I did not pick up my cell to this number on Friday night at 8 pm. They called my work number twice and inadvertantly left voicemails asking for me by birth name, noone calls me by birthname. I also live in the San Antonio area and purchased a Kia last September.

No message just static

Just bout a car today, after visiting several dealers. Just got the call at 10:20 PM. No message. Caller ID said 800 SERVICE

I received a call from this number 866-796-6124.  I returned the call.  At first the automated voice said this call is recorded for quality assurances purposes.  The call was transferred to a live person.  The person asked me who I am.  I asked her " who she is".  She identified herself as "Kim".  She ask me who I was again.  I told her, she must know who I am because she just called me.  She said she didn't know who I am however I must have just purchased a Harley Davidson motorcycle or wait you just had some work done on your Harley Davidson motorcycle.  I asked her why would she call someone and whenever they return their call be so sneaky.  "Kim" said what do you mean "sneaky".  She was just wanted to asked me some questions about the service I received on my motorcycle.  The lady asked me on a scale of one to ten, what kind of service did I receive.  I told her up to now about about 7.  She asked on a scale of one to ten would I refer the company to other people.  Then she said would I return to the company for additional services. I told yes. The lady thank me and hung up.

The lady never identified the company taking the questionaire or the company that performed the service for me.  If they are a PR company working for a dealer, they are losing more customer's then they are gaining.

I've been getting calls from this number for the past week.

I've not bought a car or visited a dealership in close to 5 years. The one time I did pick up one of their calls I talked with Shelia ( at least I think that was the name she gave ) who, after I told her that I had no idea why they have been calling me and to please stop, was very rude with me and said that they can continue to call me any time they wished because I've filled out a form ( not true ) with the local rent-a-car near me. When I let her know that the last time I rented a car was almost 10 years ago, she basically called me a liar and hung up on me.

I emailed a Toyota dealership 3 days ago...got a call fromthis number today.  Didn't answer, no message left.

no one on the other end. every day it keeps getting worse as the days go by, and I am registered with the national do not call, why should i pay for a private listing??????

They call and when the phone is answered they just hang up.  They hang up on the answering machine as well and don't leave a message.  I visited two dealerships three days ago....Audi and Infiniti.  Annoying and what waste of time and money from who ever is paying them.
