It's general revenue co, they collect student loans. If you have a loan with them call and get it taken care of before they garnish your wages and take your taxes, it happened to me last year. hate them. but i should have called and set something up.

they said i owned a student loan...didn't think i did..but i looked it up on this website ( forget what the name was but just google it) and i felt like an idoit...i consolidated everything but that one. my bal was like 25,000 and i got good payments on it and like unknown said my credit will be cleared up.. but i don't know about that garnishment stuff..i guess they can do that but i got talkin to them before they had a chance to call me at work.

they call all day everyday and called previous job as far back as 12 years ago.

Take their call only to tell these called bill collectors to prove in writing that they have the right to collect the debt, to contact you only in writing, and never to contact anybody else other than you, not in writing, notin person and not on the phone. They have no legal right to call your friends, family, or past jobs.

Fake caller. They dont have a legal right to call you. So dont take their call and dont call them back. If they call and ask about someone else, it breaks the law. They cant ask you about anyone else excpet you thats against the law. If you are on do not call list like me and they call it breaks the law. Call the police on them. I did.

So this call comes from Jeremy Smith. He calls at all hours of the day and night. He is hunting down somebody I dont even know. I dont know who he is but he is very pushy and has a reference number and wont take no for an answer.  What a jerk.

Today Jeremy Smith called me and I took the call. He has called at least a hundred times in the past few days, before 8AM and after 6PM really early and really late into the night. I listened to him to see what he wanted. Jeremy Smith told me that my friend from work owes Jeremy Smiths company a lot of money and I need to get my friend to pay up now. I told Jeremy that today, just a few minutes before his call, the biggest debt collector in America was fined almost $4 million for doing exactly what Jeremy was doing-calling at all hours and revealing confidential information to me about my friend and trying to get me to lean on my friend. He got very abusive and told me that he knows all about me too and that he will get me. I hung up.  I hope somebody arrests Jeremy Smith and fines his company.

I have been getting so many calls from this number for weeks. I returned the call and was kept on hold for a long time. I gave the case number and then the girl wanted to know my details and I told her it was none of her business. She said they have the legal right to know who I am but I doubt it so I hanged up. I dont know what else to do except to post here. Where people have problems with the same Mr Smith, but I spoke to a girl.

They have no legal right to know anything except what they already have in their hands.    Tell them 2-P-off.

Caller says he has a reference about me but he just wanted a lot of informations about somebody I used to hang out with.

Jeremy Smith called my number several times over the past few months, insisting that I call back immediately and saying it was about somebody I never heard of. So I had my boyfriend call back and tell them never to call the number again. At first they pretended not to know the number, and then they asked his name or if he was somebody and wanted to know who he was and asked other things but he just said never call this number again. Finally they said its on the do not call list which I put it on years ago! How did they get my number and why are they bothering me? How can this be legal? Scary!
