No idea either really. Have gotten this a couple of times already the past few days.

No.  They called three times and hung up.  I called them back and asked why they were calling.  "Chris" asked me to wait one moment, came back and asked for our home number.  I refused, telling him they were the ones calling.  I asked again what the purpose of the call was and he hung up on me.....

They have called several times, said it was important call for "my name", then put me on hold.  The last time took me to a voice mail box for PFS asking me to leave my name, acct number, and phone number and they would call me back.  I left the name figuring they have the rest.  Anyone know who PFS is?

Pfs is a collection agency.They use several phone numbers.

Keep getting a call from this GFS regarding some college... it mentions a series of letters before the word "college" perhaps the initials of the name of the college it's referring to. It tells me to call between such and such hours of the next day. I haven't been to a college class in over 30 yrs. That was paid for long ago. So I call the toll free number and I get an automated response telling me my call is being forwarded. I'm told that there is one caller ahead of me. Then it sends me to a voice mail to leave a message. I have no account number to give them, nor do I know what college they are trying to collect for. I'm assuming this is an attempt to collect an unpaid debt only by looking up the name GFS collection agency online. I even left a message 3 times that I do not know who they are calling about or what. I haven't cosigned any loans ever, nor have I had a college loan in over 30 yrs. That particular loan was paid for in full over 30 yrs ago.

this number calls 2 or 3 times a day no one talks . so I don't pick up anymore,
