Got a call but caller left no message.

Rude,  threating law action, fraudulant information.

Received a call from this number saying was in ref to pending lawsuit. Told me I was associated with someone I have never met.

Lady called saying my husband was in a lawsuit as well...didn't want to give  me  any information. I hung up. Everybody is scamming these days to make some  $$$$

Got  a call from "ATI", never heard of the person they said listed me as a reference in a lawsuit.

Got a message from a Stacy Burkley saying I needed to call back about a lawsuit involving someone named Paula. Yeah no.

They called from a 205 Birmingham number, but the call back was the 866 number. All real people answer the phone using the names left in the voicemail. Don't give any info!!

I was named in a lawsuit and left a case# for me to call back immediately and have my lawyer on the line.they need to take a statement from us. They will be contacting the police. You can hear a call center in the background. These people need to get a life!

You can be assured of one thing.  They certainly would not want you call back with your lawyer on the line as he would immediately know that this is simply an extortion scam.

Ok so they called me and said they have an order to garnish my wages yada yada yada I asked for information to be sent to me and they sent an email DOCUSiGN  with a Settlement Agreement attached... They had me but they didnt get me!  But how in the world did they get my work number................ DONT FALL FOR IT!

got a call from 916-596-3751 from a Jason Irwin stating that there is a complaint in his office and that I needed to call back as soon as I got the message.  I was to call back 866-801-4699.  Did not call back.  Scammer!  Does not say from what business he is from.  All a scare tactic but do not fall for it.

Received a call from 859-475-0650 on Saturday looking for my son. Said he had applied for a loan. They needed him to varify a couple more things for a loan he had applied for. Ask me to give  him this message and call them back. Ask me if I had a pen and
paper to write the information down. I told him I was at the store and ask him to call be back I would not answer and he could leave the information in my voice mail. When I saw my son on Sunday evening he listened to the voice mail then said he had not applied for any loans and would not make a loan with these people because of the way they sounded in the message he had left. Telling him he had to  contact them by 6 that evening. I listened to messsage then Googled the phone number he had left to see what all these post have to say about this number. No way will I help this jack@$$ liar do anything now.
I missed their call this morning. They left no message. I can't wait for them to call me again. I will enjoy  pushing their buttons until they hang up. Then make them a contact with a silent ring tone so they can't disturb me later on.

Got a call at my work askin what the policy was on serving an employee at work. Called the number back to see if it would mention a company name but nothing. Something about a lawsuit. It's a big SCAM. WHEN I called the number you could hear ppl in back ground even o er the recorder message.

Holy [***], just got a call from 866-801-4699 and was told something about a frivolous claim against me. I called the  number back, and was told "mark"  had sent two letters to my mailing address. I told him to re-send me the letter.

He recited my mailing and told me the city and state.    I live in louisiana.  He literally said lafayette, la. He then repeated the city and state. Lafayette, los angeles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wtf

Got a call from Michelle Johnson and so did my parents for whatever reason (debt) yet I never use them as any reference. Had a claim number and left a message to call them back regarding San Mateo county...me vs the whole county I live in??? Fine. Yet if you're a law firm you have tons of noise in the back with ppl repeating the same [***] as you. She said I can have my lawyer (in the voicemail) call her back. Surprise I have two lawyers and I told them both to give her a call since she wants to harass everyone in my household. If you're from a law from you'd also send a corresponding letter regarding any grievances etc. I've gotten calls from law offices and it's quiet in the background, also have gotten letters. Please stop trying to scare ppl that other wise wouldn't know better.

I got a call on my cell phone, old work number and my new work number telling me that they were forwarding my information to the Contra Costa County DA office to file charges. I am not even sure what bill they are talking about and I haven't called the number back yet.

They also harassing me on work and house line

Got a call from a 213 number (constantly) when they leave a message they tell me to call them back at 866-801-4699. They said a lawsuit was being placed against me and I had to pay $500 to stop it. They said I took out a fraudulent loan at Ace cash express (I've never taken out a loan anywhere) and if I didn't pay I would end up having to pay $5,000 and looking at jail time! Googled the number SCAM!!  and even call ace cash express they had no knowledge of me or the company.

No one has been put in jail because they didn't pay a loan off for over 200 years.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
