My son has answered calls they keep asking for me Leaving this phone number and a claim number 1-866-803-0689 The Man says his name is Patrick Oneal. Today I answered this call again it was Patrick he said I was facing check fraud from an online payday loan and that important papers were going to be served where did I want them sent? Mr. Oneal asked if I Intended to commit fraud?I repplied no comment The only info I confirmed was my name , the scary thing was he had an old acc number saying ending the last four numbers which I did not confirm and he said the wrong bank name and tried to get me to confirm my social which I would not even though he had the last four of my social. When I asked where he was he said southern california, I asked for his address he said he could not give it out for safety reasons!!! I replied really??? sounds fishy!!!! Patrick said it was important that I call 866-803-0689 and resolve the money in a timely matter I laughed and hung up the phone. I called the number it says accurate and I got a woman she wanted me to confirm my info I would not I asked if i could have their address to send a cease letter because i think this is a scam, he said trust me its not you will see when you get the papers and hung up on me. Then a few hours later Mr. Oneal called back and I told him I contacted a Lawyer and he has never heard of your firm he said he did not care he was a processing firm and asked if I called the number he provided then he asked where do I want to be served with papers at I then said if you have all my info like you are claiming you know where send them again I laughed and hung up on him. He kept calling back for a few times and I kept hanging up he kept asking where to send the papers. He then called four more times which I left the answering machine get he did not leave a message. I called My local sheriff office and told them about this they even said it sounds like a scam because a legit company should give you there address and that the have no pending cases against me of any kind right now!!! They also told me to hang up on them and that I should scare them by telling them I reported them and told me I could report them to the FBI and to let them know that to and to tell them there call is being traced. I also did a reverse look up of the number I get no info on it sounds like Scammers!!!!!

It is a scam! Extortion scam, lots of threads here on this going on right now! Thats the  reason why they won't give you a legitimate address or legitimate proof.. they can't, it doesn't exist!

They do break a ton of laws.. especially the FDCPA laws, we do encourage you file reports/complaints with your State District attorneys office and since they claim they are in California, I'd file one with them also.

You might also file a complaint with your local PD and also your phone company and see if they will block these two numbers also.

I just received the same type of call and hung up on them too. They contacted my sister and left her the message to have me call 866-803-0689 because they had to be formally served.

I received a call from this number and the caller stated her name was Ruth Wells and she was looking for one of the employees I work with. She left a long voice mail.  She called our place of employment and went on some big speel and before she hung up she stated "Mr _____ you have been served". This is completely insane that the government can spy on innocent peoples emails and not do something about this losers out there trying to scam people out of money. They need to trace these calls and arrest these idiots. The name that they rattled off was Accurate and if you google that the only this even close to it is a collection agency that obviously has never heard of the federal trade commission, but then again that is also a government run organization.

I have been getting these calls for over 6 months on one occasion I had 42 calls in a day. Everytime they called I told them this's Main Moon Chinese restaurant and pissed them off.

The best advice I can tell you dont answer thier calls.

I've been getting calls from this number within the last two weeks. They had someone else call my work and ask for my manager. Not sure why. He transferred the number to me and it was a man telling me to call the 866 number otherwise he would have to serve me papers. Why go through my manager for that? Then I called the number he gave me and they answered that they were Accurate. They said I owed money for a payday loan but couldn't tell me which payday loan company or an account number. I had to change my bank card number because of them. Best advice - do not answer and report the number.
