    tired of harrassing phone calls
Caller is looking for my sister-in-law, who does not
live with us and has a different last name. We asked
them to stop and they stopped for a while but now
they started calling again.  I don't even bother
answering when I see the number on caller ID

They called our home this evening saying that there was an important call holding for him and he waited on hold for 75 minutes before I made him hang up.  The company is First Financial Asset Management and they just keep calling and not leaving a message.

Called today 3/21 ~ called and hung up.  This is the 2nd call from this company and for no reason.  Doesn't sound like it will end anytime soon from other messages.

    no rude calls!
A woman named Donna called from this number and refused to identify her company or her reason for calling. She kept asking for someone who doesn't live here. Because we have found several messages for this person on our answering machine, I asked who the caller was. She repeatedly refused to identify herself and then stated,"I have been dealing with this for 3 months! Are you going to tell me if I have the right number or do I have to do what I need to do?!!"  I hung up on her. Anyone calling from a reputable business would not behave in such a shady way.

Here's how to stop the calls:

By Federal Law, they HAVE to stop calling once they receive written request by you to do so or face fines of up to $1,000.00 PER violation.

Send them this "Drop Dead" letter VIA Certified Mail and request a return receipt:

Called twice so far. Have been receiving calls from debt collectors looking for someone else (call is on my cell), so suspect this is the same. No one answers at the other end, just silence.

I receive calls non-stop from this place for someone named Henry, who I do not know at all. I presume that I am the unlucky [***] that received his old phone number on my new cell phone. I want to answer and tell them to F off, but I don't think that it would do any good. Maybe I'll just pretend to be the guy that they are looking for...

They call my house but won't tell me who they are or what they are calling for. they are very rude and I have been getting calls from this number non stop and have been answering but let them remain on hold until they hang up. Maybe they will get the hint soon and stop calling.

They have called several times and even left messages on my machine.  Here's the thing - they are looking for the former owner of this house.  Somehow they have my new number associated with this other guy.  I finally called them back and told them the guy they are looking for does not live here and was the old owner of the house.  If the calls do not stop after this, I will keep posting progress reports here until they do.

This is a collector for Bank of America. Also others If you have a debt with Bank of America
call them directly unless the account is charged off they should make some kind of arrangement
with you. The calling and not speaking or the auto answer is to show contact with you they don't
actually have to provide conversation just to say "we have called and called your Honor and these
people will not communicate with us" that is how they get judgements they lie,. put their numbers
in your phone id them collector and do not answer. If they REALLY know you owe the debt and they
know where you work or live they will send you letters in the mail. Remember they are just like the police unless you OPEN the door ANSWER the phone there is nothing they can do to you unless it
is in writing. Always the best policy in writing or not at all.  Good luck

Another way to get these harrassing calls to stop is to file a complaint with the attorney general's office. Calmly ask for the name of the supervisor and their contact info. Trust me, the calls will stop once you threaten them through the AG's office.
