Definitely Bank of America Home loans. Not real bright though... I lovingly "gave" the house to my wonderful ex-wife over 3 months ago... court order sent to all involved. Still...they call me:)  I tell them I'll move out in 3 days and they can have the house:)  and they still call...  lol

Guy called and said he was from B of A.  Asked for my home address and/or mortgage information to verify who I was before he could tell me anything.  NOT!  Told him I wouldn't share that with him as I had no idea who he was.  He said I should check with my branch as there was a serious problem.  I called the automated number B of A Debt Collection.  Leave your account number or if you don't have it, leav your SSN and zip code.  NOT!!!!  B of A said they didn't recognize the number and would report it and my account was just fine.

received a call from this number, man wanted me to verify my info before he would tell me what call was regarding.  he said he was from Bank of America, but he couldn't verify my info to me.  he told me I could call back, but it was the same number he called from.  that number shows "800 SERVICE" on caller ID, and it is nowhere on my B of A statement, so I don't it's legitimacy.

I received a call from 1-600-000-0000 on my cell and the lady said she's calling from BofA.  Needed me to verify my property address.  I said no and to give me a number I can call back.

Don't call this number.  I called BofA directly instead and sure enough, they said it was a fraudulent call.

Bank America is 866-806-3983. Even after I talk to them they call every day. They ask for me to tell them the property address. I say "which one?" which flusters them. I promise to pay when I hit the Mega Millions.

Getting the same calls here in Georgia from 866-806-3983. I tend to doubt that it is really Bank of America.

Never had a Bank of America account or mortgage, nor has my mortgage been sold to Bank of America. I've checked.

The recorded call asks you to call a number which is allegedly for Bank of America. Trouble is, you can't get a person on the line. It insists on inputting an account number or a Social Security Number and zip code (like I was born yesterday).

I have emailed Bank of America twice through their website asking for the calls to stop. My next move will be to file a complaint on BoA with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance. If it's really Bank of America, that will stop them. If it isn't, I guess I will unplug my phone!

This guy asked for my husband and when he said he did not have time to talk to him, the guy said well, put your wife back on. Said he was from Bank of America, who knows. I know I am on the national do not call list? Does anyone respect the do not call list. I still get lots of sales calls.

I received two phone calls within three hours of each other that featured the caller ID:  866-806-3983.   Both calls had a recorded message that advised that they were the Bank of America Collections Dept., and that my account was delinquent. (I know for a fact this is not true.) I was able call back the number and was able to obtain an actual live human whose name was provided as "Jasmine" from Dallas, TX who worked in the Bank of America Collections Dept. She provided her employee ID #:  NBKNBNC.  (That ID number that contained no numbers sounded bogus to me.)  She advised me that I needed to correct this situation by supplying my social security number, my bank account number, my routing number, my date of birth, my mother's maiden name.( Of course, this is a scam!!) When I called the Bank of America's Yellow pages listed 800 number that I know to be their customer service number, I spoke with a Recovery Dept. agent in St. Louis who advised me that the telephone number 866-806-3983 is legitimate, and that the alleged B of A customer service rep., Jasmine from Dallas, employee ID: NBKNBNC is a legitimate customer service rep with the legitmate ID.  (I continue to be skeptical, and I TRULY suspect that some type of "INSIDE JOB" of embezzlement through this B of A actual employee named "Jasmine" is occurring. I am reporting this to the U.S. Gov't. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau @ www.CFPB.gov for a full investigation. Either the B of A is embarrassed that one of their employees has gone "rogue", or several B of A employeess are also part of this scam. BE WARY OF ANYONE CALLING YOU FROM PHONE NUMBER:  866-806-3983.  DO NOT PROVIDE THEM WITH ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION AT ALL.  Report it immediately to the U.S. Government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

I'm receiving multiple calls from this number.  The first came right after I had made an online payment to BofA, so I was concerned.  But when the rude caller asked for the amount of my monthly payment, I knew that didn't make sense.  He would not answer any questions and hastily said he'd call back.  I called the number and got the recording saying it was BofA debt collections.  My accounts are current, so I immediately hung up and called the BofA number on the back of my card.  I was assured that no one from BofA had called me and that they do not call before 9am (the call came in at 8am).  That was a few days ago.  Tonight I have gotten two calls from this number and both insisted that they really work for BofA.  One even told me that in order to stop these calls, I need to give them the requested information!  I'll be calling BofA again to report this and to change my account numbers.

These harassment calls from 866-806-3983 must be stopped.

Getting recorded calls from the same phone number at least three times daily.

Trouble is, they’re looking for a person which does not exist at my home.  I keep telling them that I don’t have such a person that they’re looking for, and tell them to stop calling my number.  However, I continue receive numerous calls from the same phone number again after a few days later.

866-806-3983 "Says" they are Bank of America. Wanted the last 4 of my social. I said, "If you have my personal information there, could you tell me if I was born yesterday?"....

She wasn't amused. Said for me to go in to the bank, or call another number 800-451-6362. I call that and the FIRST thing the recording asks is for my account number or Social Security number. Are you "fudgesicle" kidding me?

I don't bank with BOA. I don't have any accounts with BOA. I am so glad that my parents can't get these phone calls.

Received call from 866-806-3983, and called said was from BofA.  Wanted my last 4 of SS# and complete address.  When I asked why would not say, but gave same number as on the thread above.  I too called BofA from the number on my card and was told it was not them, and thanked me for reporting it.  Definitely a scam!
