    Bot call.

"This is not a sales call. Repeat, this is not a sales call. Someone has listed you as a personal reference. Please call 866-808-7286... "

These guys have been calling for 3 months now (fridays, saturdays, and sundays mostly, but also on weeknights too).

The 866 number is Premiere Credit. They are bill collectors. I have no debts of any kind other than my mortgage. I have always paid all of my bills on time. My credit is clean as a whistle.

Don't have caller id, so can't tell who is calling. I called the number today. They asked for my name and SSN ... something wrong there ... response: "I do not provide personal information of any kind over the phone". Challenged them to identify who they were calling for, and she would only provide 2 first names. Asked them to never call again. End of call.

I have been receiving the same message since June: "This is not a sales call. Repeat, this is not a sales call. Someone has listed you as a personal reference. Please call 866-808-7286... "

I finally called the number back and talked to people, twice, and asked to be taken off their contact list and was assured I would be.  Haven't been taken off as, again, I received 4 calls this weekend.

These guys have been calling me for weeks as well.  Mainly on Saturdays and Sundays.

    Here is the company information:
Premiere Credit of North America, LLC
    P.O. Box 19289
    Indianapolis, IN 46219
    (866) 808-7286
    (866) 808-7118
    premierecredit.com

The only way to make them stop is to send them a letter certified mail asking them to stop.  This is the only way to stop them because if they call again they are breaking the Fair Credit Collection Practices Act and can be sued.

I think Premier is suing the guise of legitimate calls under some purported collection exercise as a "PHISHING" exercise to get names and SSN's and then research credit agencies to see if there are discrepancies in credit reports and then contact the credit agencies listed to see if they can get an order for their services.

They are a "scummy" ie, disreputable company as they pride themselves in being ruthless sharks. yet, as reported here and in my own case, they have no reason to call me as I have no debts... and ti ask name and SSN just says they are running a boiler room operation to get new business by getting SSN's and names to research for possible business... not from us, but from a supposed creditor who might show in a credit file an over due payment.

In the verncular that sucks and would hope one of the big law firms orgaizes a calss action suit to shut them down.

same here... and with no debts, it seems to be as reported earlier.. just a phishing exercise on their part.

I have called and left messages and sent emails to no avail... these scum [***] [***] do not take a polite stop please.

Anybody know a good class action law firm?

Still getting calls from "866-808-7286" Have contacted Premier via email advising them to ceases and desist to no avail.

With no creditors I can only interpret their actions to be a clever ploy to get around other means of obtaining SSN's.

My opinion of waht they are doing is this:

Get a name and SSN.. use it to obtain access to personal credit records to phish out listed creditors on the individual's report.. then contact the creditors if an arrears or similar discrepancy is shown and solicit business from a creditor to get an order to collect... that is their business... collecting debts.

It appears that Premier has implemented a clever method  to prospect new clients by using personal date form unsuspecting individuals' personal data  .

I have contacted Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter advising his office of this Indiana firm's apparent "Phishing" exercises. (Indiana has strict regulations regarding telephone solicitations; advise other receiving calls from Premier contact Indiana Atty General also  http://www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/contact/contactform.html

I urge others to do the same.

this company has called me 20 times, waking me and my 10 month old daughter up.  This pisses me off.  Thank you Ryan for the address and website info. I have, by phone, asked them to stop but they won't. I have cussed them out and they just hang up on me. That ticks me off even worse.  I will be trying for a suit. They are looking for a Shenise Mcewing.  And I looked up her present phone number and left a message that they were calling her.  Well this company is still calling me. They claim she signed a federal document.

    Jennifer,
These nitwits are really ASKING for it, aren't they?

Send them a Cease and Desist Letter(with return receipt requested). If they continue to call you after you have proof that they have signed for it, you can sue them and WIN.

    Everyone listen up!

We have too stand together and report them to the federal trade commission.  If everyone of us does this as a whole, the government can take them to court.

    They are breaking the law!

I had been getting these calls Friday, Saturday and Sunday for two months. I finally called the telephone company. They called the number whitch turned out to be Premier Credit. Premier said I owed money to the government(not true). Telephone company told them not to call me anymore. So far,so good. These people are beyond annoying. One Saturday I returned home to find all my caller ID space exhausted. I call this harassment.

I got a call today from 1-866-808-7286. There was a message left on my machine so I called it back thinking it was something for one of my family members. Well when I talked to the lady I explained it was on my machine gave her my phone number and she said she was calling for my hubby's ex-in-law's. I told them that there is no one by that name and then they had the nerve to ask if I was his ex-wife. Um listen dummy's my machine has our first names on the machine don't you think that would be your first hint that there is no by that name here. I wanted to say that but didn't lol. We had to change our phone number because of getting crap for his ex-wife, and her in-law's. And it is starting again starting to make me mad. I just got rid of caller id thank god for my answering machine. I sent an email the Attorney General of Indiana, and the FCC. I am hoping something gets done because we had a year of aggervation with peeps doing this crap besides this company there was others.

They started calling two weeks ago, I owe no one, it is an automated phone call, telling me it was not a solicitation call, that someone gave my name as a reference, they want me to call them Monday 9AM-9PM, I called during week, got person, he would not tell me what it was about, everytime this "Donna" is out of office, phone 1-866-808-7286, X257, switches me to her answer machine, I keep telling her to stop dialing me, but they have not stopped, they called , day before yesterday at 7:35PM, yesterday at 4:35PM, today(Sat)at 5:35PM, and I expect a call tomorrow on Sunday, as they call every weekend. I have filed a complaint a few minutes ago with FTC, when I go into town on next Wed, I am visiting FBI, will file complaint there, then on to Qwest Telephone. I will also file complaint with Attorney General of Colorado, who pursues such calls as I am pretty old person, with bad heart, and had stroke last year. I know from internet, they will not stop, so I intend to teach them a lesson. Every time they call, I will go to the same places, and file a complaint, and eventually they will stop calling...

I've been getting the same calls as stated above.  However, I've been getting them at my work number which is a direct line to my desk.  I called them and told them that they were calling a place of business and to please remove the number from their list.  They apologized and said that it was removed.  I'll find out next Monday if I have voicemails on my phone from over the weekend.  For those trying to get them to stop calling, just tell them that they are calling a place of business and they should have no problem removing you from their list.
