Claims to be from law firm but no details--Leaves name of Christine Shaw (?)--Speech is rushed so caller cannot be clearly identified--I agree that it's probably debt collection agency using gimmick to harrass by phone

claims to be a paralegal but sounds very shady.  Won't give any precise information.

trying to collect a debt I own to bank of america but I've never recieved a letter in the mail.

I just got a similar phone call from 866-811-1159.  They did not seem to be a collection law firm, but knew my name, and my ex wife's remarried name.  I refused to give them any information.  Further I did a google search on the name of the law firm and was dismayed to see that the firm engages in fraudulent collection practices.  So, beware.  You may want to google their name as well and see what pops up.

I keep getting calls from a John Shea possibly Shaw stating that I have an outstanding balance on a Bank of America card and when I asked him exactly what he was going to do...he put me on hold! Then told me he had to call me back later because he had another call to attend to! What kind of crap is that? Now he calls and I don't answer but I guess he finally figured out what to say or something!

A man called my work giving the name of Mr. Miller needing to talk to me.  Said he was with a law firm.  I asked him what law firm and he said "Hanna".  Like I'm to know who Hanna is?!  This Mr. Miller told me that this call was in reference to "Curtis".  I have no clue about "Curtis" anything!  Too weird!  I didn't give him any info...told him I would have to call him back.  I called the number right back and a message said that they are a collection agency.  I have no debt!

Repeated phone calls from this organization lead me to believe they are scam artists.  When I call the 1-866 number back, I get incredibly rude people who laugh at me and then taunt me and then hang up on me.  All they want is a credit card number; when I ask them to mail something in relation to the so-called account, they hang up.  When I ask to speak to a lawyer, they laugh and say there are no lawyers at that phone number.  BEWARE!  This may be a serious scam!  I strongly recommend you (a) report them to the attorney general of the state of Georgia and (b) report them to the FTC.

This is a numbe for Associated Recovery Systems.  They are a collection agency that breaks all sorts of rules.  They need to be stopped. Please make sure you contact your State Attorney General, file a report with the FTC and with the BBB

Got a call today, out of the blue.  Googled the number that led me here. First time getting a call from this place.

Just got a call from this phone number. A guy asked to speak to Chris. I told him he had the wrong number. He asked again to speak to Chris. I told him, more loudly this time, that he had the wrong number. He asked me to give a message to Chris. At this point, I asked him who he was. Instead of giving me a name, he said, "I thought you don't know a Chris - so why are you asking who I am?" I told him because he called my home, that's why and to f*** off then hung up on him. I called back and got a recorded message stating they are a collection firm. I do not know a Chris, nor do I any have debt.

I got a call for the next door neighbors!  A woman named "Kerri" asked me if, the next time I see the neighbors, if I would give them a message to call Fred Hanna at this number.  I asked her why she is calling us instead of the neighbors and she said they must not have a phone.  Now that I learn this is a debt collector, I see what they are doing by bothering us since the neighbors probably don't answer their phone anymore.

Got 2 calls in the last 2 days and googled the number and found this. Same story. Claims they are a lawyer (Mr. Miller) but gives no details. It'd be interesting to find out if any of them are lawyers. If not someone should file something against them as I believe pretending to be a lawyer is a federal offense.

This call came in this evening for the owner of my home.  We are renters.  How this person associated our phone number, which we have had for several years, with this woman is beyond me.  I offered to give her a message and the man on the phone was rude.  That is why I googled the number. The name he gave was Ron Taylor and he said he was with The Law Offices of Fred Hannah. I guess I am obligated to give her the phone message but will let her know what I have found out about them.  What a bunch of slimeballs.

Received many calls from a Frank Hanna (or Hannah) and other names of allegedly the law offices of John Daily (sp) and law offices of Frank Hanna at 866-811-1159, indicating they were an LLC (law office) and wanted to speak to my room mate concerning a "private matter".  They informed me they were a law firm and debt collection agency.  I think this company should be reported as a fraudulent company who would not do anything except to torment anyone who called back.  They allegedly are representing Bank of America in debt collection.  I called back to see if they had received paperwork as my roommate filed for debt consolidation and they would not admit to anything.

Got a call from a guy today claiming to be a mr bernanni. he was asking for my ex wife to get a referance from her in reguards to me. I thought it sounded fishey so I didn't identify myself. Called the number back and the mwssage said it was a law office that delt with debt collection. Googled it and found all this.

A call came in this morning. 866-811-1159 at 8:49am. I had a migraine and was asleep. I sort of heard the phone ring. Anyway, they left a message and I couldn't understand her words. She was slurring them. It sounded like she said Leo Huntington for Frederick A Hanna and Associates - contact the law offices as I do need to speak with you Ma'am. Odd She had my sister-in-law's name. In 20+ years I have never received a call at our home for her. Clearly they found the last name in some public directory. YES, I JUST CHECKED AND THERE IT IS::: "FREDERICK J. HANNA & ASSOCIATES" THEY ARE a Georgia Law Firm.APPARENTLY, they advertise a "COST EFFECTIVE PRE-LEGAL APPROACH".  "WE SUE - WE WIN - WE COLLECT" http://www.hannalawoffice.com/ APPARENTLY, all they do is REPRESENT creditors.

Received a call from this number at 8:oo at night frm a gentleman who caled himself Mike at ext. 4041. Called the number the following morning and he was on the phone...then an associate asked my name and phone number and claimed that Mike was not in. He could not locate my file with name and phone number so he wanted Social Security Number!! I asked him if he was joking? De he think I was a 90 year old who was going to give out that kind of info on the phone!! I am a Bank of America customer as well!
