Phone Scam. Beware.

I got the call and a hostile voicemail that they would show at my work, my house, and then my nearest family members home until they found me and if not would mark be non-compliant.the voicemail was left by Jonathan but then man I got when I called was Henry. I called back and they wanted me to pay $300 same day to settle the debt out of court rather than being sued for $1,400 by a security company I had years ago and defaulted on. Because I recognized the debt I went through with it but after thought called my bank and filed a fraud charge and got my info changed. SCAM.

Same thing happened to me! Said he was going to show up to my house. When I called the number he gave me the guy put me on hold for several minutes and hung up! scam!!

Someone left a message in my answering machine, he said, he was going to show up to my house if we don't respond quickly. I waited in the house and see if someone will show up. No one showed up. Then one day I received a call from this guy looking for my daughter. When I asked what it is for? He said, he don't need to tell me anything but leave a message for my daughter. I hanged up the phone and he tried to call back. But I did not answer the phone anymore. So he just left a message. His phone number 866-819-3513 and a case #. When I called the number, the operator gave me to this guy after I gave the case # and asked me who am I? I said I'm the dad. When I asked him what is it for? He said, he cannot tell me anything about it. So i just hanged up on him.....It's a scam!!!!

Have just gotten my 3rd call today from them 1 one was for someone o do not know the second was for my husband and the third one only rang a few times before they hung up and did not leave a third threatening message talking about hes going to start with his work first and if he isint there hes going to say that he did not comply well he will be there lets see what happens I guess

looking for my ex-wife. left message on my cell. Going to relatives and other addresses. sounded fishy, serving papers but not really.Scare tactic.

They are a collections company that tries to make collections by making telephone threats they have no intention of carrying out.  They imply that they have legal papers they are going to serve on a debtor and that they are going to go to the individual's place of employment and/or home and/or relatives homes to serve them (although they are careful not to use those exact words).  They are in New York and have no field agents, and their website (http://www.creeksiderecovery.com/) clearly states that they do not involve themselves in legal actions on behalf of their clients.  They may have a legal right to seek to collect an unsecured debt, but they are (in my opinion) dishonest in the extreme in their attempt to collect these debts.  I would not deal with them for this reason alone.  If they lie in their attempts to collect a debt, how can you trust them to tell the truth in settling a debt?

They kept calling a distant relative, through marriage, of mine and bugging them, whose phone number is not associated with me, so no idea how they got it. So I called them back, they said it was Lakeside Recovery and then they threatened a lawsuit if I didn't pay that day. I talked to Henry Stevenson and he told me if I didn't pay the "significantly reduced" debt he was filing the lawsuit and that I needed to call a lawyer, so I told him I have a lawyer and that he can call her. He asked for the name and number and as I was telling him he decided that's not his job and that I can have my lawyer call him within 30 minutes. He started getting very demanding and threatening so I told him I will have my lawyer get in touch with him and hung up.
