Got a call, female voice, then laughing.  Crank call.

I get this call a few times a week!

I didn't pick up because it was from a toll-free number. They didn't leave a message but my answering machine did record about a minute of background noise which sounded like a call center.

I didn't answer the phone because it was an 866 number, but I did call it back.  It is a charitable organization - The Breast Cancer Support Foundation.

apparently BREAST CANCER SUPPORT FOUNDATION has found a way to piggyback (in name only)  on to :  Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

most certainly support of any cancer endeavor is important; however,
BREAST CANCER SUPPORT FOUNDATION appears more mysterious, and for those noting the laughter in their nosey background calling, cancer is no laughing matter

please stop calling

They call often, but hang up when I answer.

My wife got a call from these people this morning and it just retriggered her PTSD.  She is in tears and will be going back to her therapist for a while.  They probably don't mean any harm, but I wish they realized the damage they can do!  We are on every do-not-call list we can find but they still get through.

New number to the ever ending calling from those who find a way around the no call list.  I did not answer but returned the call, an answering machine picked up say, "please leave a message", which I did saying that I was reporting the number to the FCC as a scam.  Now when I check out this forum, for which I am grateful, I find it is not so new.  They have yet to return my call as I left my number and said that I was wanting to discuss their scam business.  This usually removes me from their calling list.  However, one number was "mad" and called me every 30 minutes for days, I must have been on a robot recall list I finally blocked the number.

When they called me I googled their number, and told them how bad their reviews are on line. Then I told them that I do not want to talk to them....

This number calls every week or two.  Don't answer at all - have the answering machine turned off.

It's a new wrinkle in the "don not call" game.. they are a telemarketing firm that calls supposedly collecting for a different charity... the sons of bushes need a whopping. And our useless Govt does nothing to close the do not loop hole.. just pose as charity and you do not have to comply with Don Not Call rules.  This country sucks on many levels and that is just another level of frustration for us "indentured servants" of commerce. wake up America!  How do you all of you true believers like knowing that you are just commodities to be used in the production of wealth for others? Like paper pulp used to make toilet tissue for the CEO's bonuses, we are like lemmings, racing toward our own economic doom.

My heart goes out to you and your wife.  The offending caller is not the charity itself, it is a telemarketing firm that is allowed it seems to circumvent do not call rules by collecting for a charity. No way to know if they are legit.. as they have called several times over the past year saying they are collecting in the name different charities.  

If legit, it's sad as the originating charities are out sourcing their fund raising by contracting out their calling with a telemarketing firm.  It's aggressive telemarketing and can do so with impunity from Do Not Call rules..

let's all take the calls.. record the charities.. and file class action law suits against the charities for sicking telemarketing firms on us.

meanwhile, vote your Congressional Reps out of office for "[***]" out to special interests.  After all, that is what its all about.... screwing someone for money.

There is no such organization in Govt charity list of 521c's i can find.. it's a marketing scam it appears. "Breast Cancer Support Foundation" -- catchy title but not the registered charities for Breast Cancer.

let's get a law firm to sue "dem sum bi-otches" for fraud.

Note that Breast Cancer Support Foundation is an off shore organization using a telemarketing firm called "AC" services to solicit $$$ in the name of the so-called charity.

It's probably a scam.  An organization sept up to make money for itself on the backs of desperate breast cancer victims.  Seems to follow the Nigerian scam business model, only in this case the donor will probably get a call from IRS if sizable deductions appear on a 1040 from them.

Search IRS database at http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/ ... for this "foundation" and you get no records found.

It's an off-shore "scam" charity using a telemarketing firm to solicit funds here in US.

Repeated calls on home phone during day. No message left when answering machine picks up. No one responds when phone is answered in person.

I hung up on the repeat caller because I suspected fraud.

My # is unpublished and unlisted so how the hell did they get it??? If these people are scamming money in the name of Breast Cancer survivors or victims then they should be ashamed of themselves and they should be put in jail. I have a friend who beat breast cancer a few years back and this kind of scam is a slap in the face to all cancer survivors and those who have lost their battle.
