Received a phone call from this #; pre-recorded VM was left that there is a case against me, and that I need to call this # back????

I got the same call..

Same here....a different number calls each week with a different case number and some phony claim about a case against me. Don't fall for it, I have made calls to the federal bureau of consumer protection and they say these people aren't operating legally and not to give them any info what so ever. If you do manage to get an address, company name, business license number, or any info turn them in immediately.

please notify me if you know the location of these dik-wad scammers.they be lower than slug balls

Robo call. Computer voice said I was subject to an I.R.S. audit and a warrant would be issued for my arrest per a case number filed in District Court. Then, recorded voice said to call another number if interested in settling amount allegedly owed and all charges would be dropped. Definitely an attempt at fraud by scammer behind robo call.

Caller: unknown, but Robo call inferred it was IRS

Called my cell phone twice today, but no message left. This is the info I got off internet search of this#:  1-866-834-2640 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID.  Obviously some sort of bottom-feeding collector.

These people call monthly from a different 866# each month; you block their number and get some peace, and then they turn around and use a different phone #, even at times calling relatives, whom you don't live with.  It is tiring and is harassment.  I have been tracking these 866#s' this year, and each month it is from a different one with the same kind of VM.  So tired of these evil people who have no morals........maybe one day, they will get a clue that people are not going to fall for their garbage...........just keep reporting them, please so that they can be stopped someday.......

got 1 call yesterday, and 1 today on my cell phone.

Someone from this number calls each day about 20 minutes apart all during the day.  Is there something that can be done.

Call blocker can be of some help.  Also do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.These are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists and as such beyond the reach of US law.

I get the same calls going on 1 year now. They stop for awhile and start again!! They are old pay day loan collectors and other old debts. They are scum. DO NOT fall for it. I was taken by these callers for almost $600 several years ago and I wouldn't be taken again. BE AWARE!!!

the lady i talked to said washington dc and said the company was called ivey manning and stein...i cant find anything on them her name she said was Theresa baker
