just ring two times and hangs up

just rings 2 times then hangs up but it calls back very 5 to 6 mins then it stops then calls back again in 5 or 6 minutes..have no idea why the calls. comes up as unavailable name.

it was from american express dillard's card.

Receiving numerous calls from 8668380640 - 2 in a row on 3/29/08 @ 1:59 PM; no message left; do not have a Dillards AMEX card

looks like it may be a phishing scam.  when you call the number back, it says it's Dillard's AMEX, then asks for your charge card number.  Can't be legit.

Seems to be Dillards.  They had our balance, address, name.  Called after 9pm, then hung up.  I called back and complained.  Who ever I spoke to could barely speak english.

These people call as many times as 10 times a day. It is Sunday now and already had 3 calls from them. A few times I answered when I did not have my phone with caller I.D. and latter checked on another phone to find out it was them again. They said wait for operator. Sometimes after a couple of rings the phone line on their end goes dead. I now answer and hang up on them...

This called won't leave a message, called my cell and work # several times for days.  I do have a dillards/amex although payment isn't past due.  I was concerned, therefore called the number.  Prompts requested my account #.  I did not enter.  Waited for a representative.  The lady was very nice and asked for my account# or my SS#.  I told her i would not give either, i am on a cell phone.  She then asked for my name and telephone number.  She was unable to pull up my account with either and requested spelling again and my phone number.  She said "we called you at this number didn't we", i said yes you did.  She then stated in order to pull up my account she would need my acct# or ss#.  I then stated something is wrong she should be able to look my account up by my name or phone number at least.  She said maybe it's your sams or walmart account.  I said "what, I don't have a Sams or Walmart account"!!  This company is fraudulant and they best better take my name off their calling list!! and i hung up!!  This is scarey!!
I told my boss's wife about it yesterday and today she just called me at work and said she has now received a call although it's a credit card company she has although knew she didn't owe anything and wouldn't give them her account number and she hung up on them.

rec calls from 866-838-0640 dillard amex. they call every two hours. i have asked them not to call that often. i consider it harrasment

Called the number back.  I do not have an AMEX Dillard's card.  Asked that they stopped calling and asked that my number be removed from their calling list.  Was told it would be removed.  We shall see.

Calls my house phone - leaves no message on the answering machine, then calls my cell #.  Someone did finally respond to me, but after asking "Is this Olivia" like she was a long-lost friend, she would not tell me who she was (other than say Brittany) or what she wanted.  If someone will not identify themself or what they are calling about immediately, then they should not be calling.

I have mailed a check to you of 200 dollars. I will pay the rest when I get a next bill.  This was the last bill to get me. I had mailed all other bills.  I am sorry for the inconvenience.  You should be getting this in the mail within the next couple of days. This check is in the amount of 200 dollars. I will pay the rest of this account when I get a new bill sent to me.

I do not need any collection agencies calling me. I do pay my bills.

They had call me several times a day, almost everyday. Just ring twice and then hung up. Very annoying. No messages left.
I called the number and it claims to be Dillard's Amex card, they ask for account number, did not entered it.
I do have a Dillard's Amex but I always take care of the account over the Net. They also send me my statement over the Net.
I am pretty sure that a company as professional as Dillard's would not do this kind of harrasement to his costumers.

Has been calling for months.  As soon as my answering machine picks up they hang up.

Calls, several times a day. I asked them what the call was in ref. to. I asked them there business address. They told me that it was ---------

I told them that a Business couldn't work out of a small box!!!!!!

Can someone trace this call with all the technology we have in the U.S.A. you would think so.

The automatize answering, asked for my last four of my S.S.N., I entered 0000 then my account # 0000 0000 0000 0000. It said that was incorrect. I person from a foreign country answered.(INDIA, INDONESIA, ???) Nonetheless, he asked for my account number. I asked him what the name of his company was and the address. He said that he needed my account #. I told him that I needed his Company name and address. He said he needed my account number first. I asked him if he understood English, to give me the name of his company and it's address---He hung up the phone....

20 calls in the last NINE days. Sometimes a message, sometimes an operator with bad english. Dillards AmEx was mentioned.

It's Dillairds.  They have a rotary system, that will keep dialing you.  I found out they have been calling me all day about a $39 late fee they added to my account, in error.  They think I should pay the fee and they will adjust it off the balance.  I don't think so.  Why should I pay an extra $39 now for something they messed up?  Dont shop at dillairds!!!

When I answer, gal is speaking Spanish asking me to hold. Are we getting charged for these calls??

They keep calling every hour!  Won't leave a message!

They called my office, no message.  They called my cell phone and when I answered I was greeted with a recording stating that this was an important call - but no mention of who the call was from.  I hung up.  They called my cell phone 3 more times all with the same recording.  Finally I asked my husband to answer - he did, waited past the recording.  They asked is this Colleen? - he said no, this is her husband.  They hung up and haven't called back (yet).  If this were a legitimate attempt to collect a debt - I would think they would have their act together when they call!!
