Wendi25 Jun 2007- This company goes by several names. Captures.com, Web Marketing source, Visible.net, Mobile Penguines, and they are selling a stores on line package that offers several sites for thousands of dollars. Not only have they ripped off consumers in the United States, but it appears that they are also doing business in other countries. If you google Captures.com & Web Marketing Source, scroll through the pages on the search engines until you get to a site that says "Not surpised in my research...." It appears that this company is selling stores on line to people in Australia, and since this company is not located in Australia, and they have no assets in Australia, these people can not recover their losses. Australian officials are taking action to prevent them from doing business in their country. You will also notice several other complaints on this site. That site is www.commercemanager.info
- There is a complaint on this site, on the search engines when you go to "Not surprised in my research......." that states that someone from Australia has come in contact with a company that has seminars, selling multiple sites with a stores on line program. Very interesting report on earnings ect that raises intelligent questions about companies offering these services. Not sure if they are talking about Captures.com. If you go to the website www.commercemanager.info and click on other things there, it will provide a lot of information about the promises they make, sales tactics, ect. Very informative site if you are the owner of a website, and you are doing business on line. Date Line also covers a investigation on these companies and offers intelligent insight to what is going on with, not just one, but many companies that use deceptive tacticts and prey on people that have little knowlege of computer technolgy and make it sound like you can make thousands of dollars by having nothing more than a computer and a product. After you spend your money and do everyting that they tell you to do, if you are not getting the results, it is your fault. In my research, Captures.com & Web Marketing Source also has a stores on line program, and maybe that is what Mike Bixby is selling. The mulitple sites that only appear to be a great deal. Google this company and read everything you can, before you get ripped off. It appears from other reports on Rip Off Report that Captures.com is also blaming their clients for their lack of success, and making it very difficult to get refunds, and resolve problems with their sites. You will notice as you read through these complaints that the problems are very similar. I can only conclude that these complaints are credible. You be the judge!
- If any of you have been taken by this company,and they have your credit card or debit card number, go to your bank or credit card company and tell them about your situation with this company. Cancel those cards and have new ones issued. By law you are allowed to cancel any transaction, that you deem to be fradulent, with in 30 days. Don't let them talk you into waiting more than 28 days to deliver on their promises. As you become more familiar with the tactics used by this company, you will realize that they will do anything to get their money, even if you cancel the transaction through the credit card company. They will even take you to collections. If you don't cancel your cards they will continue to take money from your account.
- This is all non-sense. I have been happy since day one with this company. I own 6 sites with stores online and they have have helped me promote two of them so far. I plan on signing one more up in the next couple of weeks. i wouldn't buy from a company that won't deliver and I have bought several times from them. I guess we all have our own experiences.
- Now you are really getting desperate. Still, you are not willing to provide URLs and contact information so that we can verify your site exists, and see if it is on the first pages of the search engines. Do you realize how defeated you sound? Everything that you say and do here will be used against you. All of these false claims, are just going to make you look worse. Keep it up! We are tracking your IP addresses as well. You are going to continue to loose thousands. These posts are obviously working,or you wouldn't be so desperate to change the ratings here. People already know what you are doing to manipulate this site, and they are going to ignore the ratings. Everything that you have posted on this site lacks intelligence and forethought. - Well my page is now on the first page of google. They did everything as advertised. took 2 months. no, i do not work for the place, just tired of reading poor reviews that are baseless. If you sell dropship crap or other over marketed products you will not see any more hits than normal. if you have a product that sells on ebay it will sell on the web. too many peaple try the web when the ebay method will not work. drop ship distributors will say say" oh, ebay is too competitive" well what would make peaple think that the web will be any better. Drop shippers go back to your day jobs, dropshipping is the real scam. You cant just pay a few bucks and expect resultes with no effort involved. It looks like alot of the reviews are done by other webpage promotion companies. What they do personaly is of no concern to me. let them have sex at work if they want to, just as long as i'm on the first page of google i realy do not care if they have a messy office. I think that they know how to sell and thats what im looking to do. maybee others can learn from how they get the job done. they charge a bit more than i would like but they got the job done so i'm not going to complain. my items sell on ebay so they sell on the web too.

I say again, a real, satisfied customer would not have any reason to seek out websites like this if they got what they paid for. As usual, you are just like all the other people posting comments here in favor of this company with out giving out your name, URL, and phone number,so that we can analize your site and test it to see if it comes up on the first pages of the search engines. Also the only URL that we were given later in this thread turned out to be a site that was owned by someone who works at this company. When these sales reps take you to sites owned by an employee, every hit, allows them to climb to the first pages of the search engines. It allows them to promote those sites only. So when they take you to those sites you are under the impression that your site will get the same results. That is not the case, and if they don't even build the site after they take your money, you obviously have no chance in the world. Not that you had a chance to begin with. Anyone who comes on this site claiming to have a fantastic site that is on the first pages of the search engines is a fraud if they are not willing to give details, such as URL ect. If this company wants to clear their reputation, they know what to do. Instead, they use idiot PR within the confines of the company. They can't provide URLs that are on the first pages of the search engines, because they don't exist, unless they are the 4 or 5 sites that they promote in their sales pitch, that are owned by people that work at Captures.com.
The fact that this guy would say that he doesn't care if thay have sex in the office speaks volumes, and I am under the impression that there is a note of greed and perversion in his so called testimonial. Also, there are several people from your company that are posting threads on this site claiming to be satisfied customers, but they never leave a URL, with contact info. Why is that? Warren states that you have over 5K clients? Why don't you give us their URLs. Ok, just post at least a hundred URLs on this site, from those clients that are on the first pages of the search engines so we can see for our selves. So, when they have sales meetings in the morning, get video on that. I think he is just going by a different name when he talks to the customers. Don't be fooled. These people think of everything to manipulate the consumers. Do not buy anything from this company, and do not give out credit card or debit card numbers. If you do, there will be no end to the charges that they put on your cards.
- Some of the people out there that have SMC and gift card sites are selling accent pieces, home decor, and house hold items. When these people call you, they will try to convince you that these sites are selling products that people want. They will look for a specific product that is on the K Mart or Target website that is just like the product on your site. Captures sales reps are going to show you that these stores are selling these products and the products on you site will sell as well, if you are on the first pages of the search engines. There may be a few products on the SMC sites ect, that are sold at these mass murchandise stores, but the majority of the products on your site are not sold in these stores because they are not top sellers. So not only are you being jilted by SMC ect, you are also being tricked by this website company, into buying a better website for worthless products, that no one really wants. Get out of the SMC and gift card sites and others like it. Many of these companies including the multilevel marketing companies are just selling you the false dream of being a business owner. The pitch is always the same. You can have financial freedom, freedom of time so that you can quit your 9 to 5 job and fire your boss, the freedom to enjoy your family and work at home, the freedom to go on vacation when ever you want. That is a fantasy! Do you want to pay thousands for a fantasy? The result is that you end up being called by companies like this, and they sell you the same dream, and then they depleat your checking account. The end result is, the only thing that you paid for is a very expensive dream! Get your head out of the clouds people, this is not a dream come true. When you finally realize it, not only did the SMC and mutilevel companies sell you the idea of a dream, but the website companies like this, stepped in to embelish that dream furhter. Did you dream that you would be ripped off by thousands, with nothing to show for it? Is that your dream? A dream is all you will ever get out of these companies, and that dream is just too expensive in this economy or any other economy. You have to take care of yourself, so stop dreaming! People do not become millionairs from these sites, if they did, we would all have mansions, beautiful cars, and the freedom to quit our day job. It just isn't real, so don't believe it. If you recently lost your job due to the economy, trust me, this is not the answer. If you have money in the bank, keep it there and take care of yourself and your family.
- Try to stick to the point of this thread. We don't care about their grammar or spelling habits. Many people including the most intelligent business owners make spelling errors and grammar mistakes. I have seen it first hand. Certifiable simply made the point that the people at this company are in the habit of making remarks about this sort of thing to put them selves on a more superior level. That is their MO. That is how the other poster was able to find out that they were from Captures. Lets stick to the point here, shall we? At this point Captures is being investigated by more than one state agency. They are also being sued by the Attorney General's office. There was obviously a huge public demand from the consumers to achieve this legal action. I am sure that many of the consumers who come here to review the threads, are happy to read the comments here and see both sides, regardes of the petty comments about grammar. The helpful posts here gave the consumer the heads up that they needed to make intelligent decisions about their purchase. I think the smart ones decided that it wasn't such a good idea. In any event, this information prevented the consumer from making a grave mistake. There are alot of rip off companies out there, and it isn't always easy to know what kind of business you are dealing with until it is too late. Thank goodness for sites like this, that allow people to provide valuable information to protect the consumer, when the BBB doesn't always do that.
In the future HaHa, it is good grammar to start a sentence with a capitol letter.
- I have endless complaints with Mobile Penguins. Finally "resolved" by having the Better Business Bureaus contact them to obtain some sort of resolution only to discover they never replied. They are listed as an "F" rating. This can be confirmed at Better Business Bureau Rating

- Call the FBI in Washington State @ 206-622-0460 and ask them who you would talk to about this issue, to file a complaint. The FBI is involved in investigating in this kind of fraud. It is just a matter of getting through to the right person. There is other contact information below, to let other agencies know about these activities.
Also contact FBI office in your state. - If these people call you again, after you have read all of these threads, let them go through their pitch so that you can report your experiences with this company. Give use the date, time, name of rep, and a cell number for direct contact to the sales rep that called you. Also document websites that they take you to, to show you their technology. Most of those sites are owned by people that work there. Document your experiences with this company here so that other consumers and state agencies can verify that the sales tactics used by this company are real. Let them take you to the agreement on their site, copy that, and ask for their contact information. DO NOT ELECTRONICALLY CLICK ON THAT AGREEMENT. Just tell them that you want to read this first and hang up. If you can get a copy of the agreement send that to your local FBI, FTC, and local television stations.
- In order for you to get this far in the agreement process you may have to give your credit card information first, so ignore this post. Do not give these people any credit card or debit card information. Ask if you can copy the agreement so that you can review it first. If they tell you that you have to provide all the other information first hang up. This should give you a clue about their real intentions. I personally would want to review alllllllllllllll of the details and fine print before agreeing to everything in any contract. This company is discribed as being a cyber gangster and states that they will resort to violence if they are interfered with by anyone from the outside. The investigator also explains how drugs are involved with this company and it's opperations, and how they capture your financial information through the bank and Bank of America by meth addicts that hack your account information. Make sure you read this. The spot light is on this company now, and you need to be informed before you give out any financial information. Simply,do not make the mistake of doing business with this company regardless of what they promise. These people are pathological liars and gangsters.
- Contact the Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau in Washington State. They have several complaints on this company, and the more complaints they get the better. After they reach a certain number of complaints, they will take action. They will not use or address complaints listed on this site or the Rip Off Report site. These complaints must be filed and sent to the Attorney General's office where they will be reviewed in the state where the company resides. The company employees, and their office is exactly the way that it has been described by the Ex Employee and the individual that conducted a audit on www.ripoffreport.com. These details are true and exact. There are clients that visit the facility to talk to the technicains about their website, but they go over to the other side of the building where the technicains are, and they never see the call center. If they did, they probably would never have paid for the service.
Also there is a rebuttal on ripoffreport.com from Ronna Wichelmann telling their client (who is disabled) to just get over the fact that he was ripped off. That is definitly Ronna. Why am I so sure? Many of the people that work there insult your intelligence and try to intimidate you by making comments about correcting your grammar or spelling. It is a part of their MO, (mode of opperation). That was Ronna making those comments. Ronna doesn't live in Bellevue, but she probably belongs in the Bellvue Hospital. If you go to the complaint made by the Ex Employee that who was sexually harassed, some of the rebuttals there prove my point. The rebuttal made under the name, fly on the wall, is Warren. He also offers to correct your grammar, as he reads your rebuttal. He says that he doesn't mind if consumers make comments on these sites, as long as they are willing to be creative. As you can see from all the complaints, this company is very creative, when it comes to ripping you off, and the consumers explain in great detail, exactly how that is done.
If you are thinking of replacing multiple websites that you currently have, with some of the websites this company sells, more than likely Mike Bixby will be put on the phone to sell those multiple sites to you. DO NOT BUY THOSE SITES FROM HIM. Mike is a smooth talker! He has no self respect, and he has no repect for you. This man has a chip on his shoulder because he feels inferior to begin with, and he is determined to make as much money off of you as possible to elevate his self worth, so that he can spend that money on bling, bling, so that he can feel important. He will then put you on hold, and pretend to talk to a manager, and come back and tell you that he spoke to his manager, and tell you that his manager told him to F off, no way......to give you the impression that he was willing to pull strings for you, but he just couldn't make it happen. This is to establish rapport, and the tactic is a take away close. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MIKE BIXBY. He has no respect for women. His attitude towards women is sick and disgusting. If you could hear some of the things that he says about women and their body parts, you would be disgusted. I recently visited this location to audit them. I cannot go into any further detail, but was shocked at what I saw. I have been to thousands of businesses of all types over the past 6 years doing my job. I have never walked into such an unprofessionally run office. People are dressed terribly. The receptionist doesn't really look like she showered in the past few days. The offices are haphazardly thrown together. It looks more like a teenagers basement hangout than a business. I met the owner as well as several employees. Everyone was nice, but professionalism was just about last on their list. I can absolutely see this being a complete rip off of a company based on the impression that was left with me. If they owe anyone a lot of money, I would spend $200 on a plane ticket and go to the offices themselves and demand it back. The address can be found on google.

- If you have been contacted by this company, using the name Visible.net file your reports at www.ripoffreport.com under that name, so that those complaints will come up on the search engines when people google this comapany name. If the consumer is informed about all the names that this company goes by, and the complaints against them, there is a better chance that those consumers won't be ripped off.
- This company claims that they are highly recommended by google. This is not true. Call your library and ask them to search for any article that mentions this. It doesn't exist.

Don't invest with this company. - This companie's primary objective is to call you and tell you that they analize sites and give you the impression that they are affiliated with the company that sold you the site that you are using. They will tell you that your source codes, metatags, and key words need to be optimized so that you can get higher rankings on the search engines. When you go to their website at webmarketingsource.com they will show you several packages on different marketing packages to optimize your site. This marketing package alone will not, and I repeat willlllllllll not, put you on the first pages of the search engines. There intent is to get you to invest in any package so that they can get the first initial investment out of you and call you later to sell you a website, after they complimented the one you have and told you that you can make a lot of money with the site that you have. Now they are going to tell you that your site is crap, and you need a new one with all the technology. They will sell you the marketing first to get what ever money they can, to get you invested, so that later you will feel preasured to invest more money to get the results that you are looking for,or force you to cut your losses. If you are not able to invest in a website that will get you there, which costs over 10K then as far as they are concerned it is your loss if you are not willing to spend more money on a new site, because you get what you pay for. They will tell you that you get what you paid for after the fact. These people are not completely honest about the technology that they offer. They know that if they tell you the truth, and tell you that the marketing alone will not get you on the search engines, you won't buy anything. They know that if they try to sell you the website for over 10K up front,you won't spend money on anything. Most people can't afford that, so they show you the marketing packages, and the different prices for those packages to see how much money they can get out of you. If you can't afford the website later, then you have just given them your hard earned money for nothing. Even if you are able to afford a website, there is no guarantee that they will build it, and no guarantee that you will be on the first pages of the search engines. You are taking a gamble with your money, and these thugs are essentially dancing on your grave. If they knew that you had money in your grave, they would rob that as well.
