GC Services seems to have a contract collecting for the US Dept. of Education for delinquent student loans.

Jeffrey Silverman, 215-70-7xxx has had his US citizenship removed, and has end-stage kidney failure and left in a third country. Please contact the US State Department Department of Citizen Services for details. Perhaps you can arrange to get this sorted out so that I can get my social security disability. Otherwise this debt, student loans, must be written off - and you cannot collect from non-US citizens. What is strange is that I qualified for MEDICARE but can't get social security since I was behind in child support - and given document that I am a non-US national.

If any questions, contact me by email and I will send you a scanned copy of the document that says that I am not a US national.

These guys are "Operation Division" and they are owned by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. It's a debt collection agency that pretends to be part of the Office of Homeland Security and threatens you with imprisonment for being a terrorists if you don't pay them off.

Tell them to eff off or don't even bother to return their calls.

I haven't been able to repay my student loans. As a single mom of four I needed to take out loans to pay for everyday needs as well as school expenses. Dead beat ex didn't pay and I didn't qualify for welfare since i got the loans so it was a no win situation. My youngest son was recovering from Kawasaki Syndrome that left him with anuerysms on his coronary artery. It was hard just putting that loaf of bread on the table and working to get a degree.  Now these people want $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ from me. Pray every day that will land a six figure income but still making $10.67 with a college degree. Oh get insurances and benefits with this job so am lucky for that.

Constantly get calls from these guys with threats about calling them if I know what is good for me. How lucky can I get. Not just once a month but every other day and at work. I wish I could repay my loan but working a lousy job without any benefits. Int his economy really hard to find a good job and take care of a family.

Didn't you know that the name of the game is to use someone's else name to get you to bite. Home or cell they make up names to use to scare you and then you are wondering about identify theft so you call. Heck it is you they wanted...............

got a call this morning from a woman named "Karen" from this number.
it was obviously a man!
Himshe said if I didn't call back,my time was short and I had 24 hours to return the call or himshe was gonna call me at work.

What's messed up is that I am native American and this loan was paid by the tribe at one point. Then years later they contacted me and said I still owed $3000! I got a divorce and that amount was paid out of the settlement in 2000. Now they are contacting me again saying I still owe!

My boss keeps getting calls from these people, too.  She has paid off her student loans and sent in documentation as proof, but they still hound her and call her at work.  When asked what the call is about, it is 'a personal business matter'.

The person was extremely rude, and simply kept asking for someone in the family who hasn't officially lived at the address for six years. They kept saying it was a VERY IMPORTANT personal matter, and wouldn't disclose their company, or the reasons why they were calling. The person's name was Amber, and left a number to call as well as a personal extension. 1-866-871-7717 as the number and 5448 as the extension

10:00 am  - a man called, very difficult to hear/understand - asking for someone we have never heard of. He told us that she had used our number as a reference. At first I thought this was probably just a mistake, but after reading the comments here, I suspect worse...

GC Services Called and asked for a person with the same last name as ours.  The person said that we were listed as relatives, I asked what was the name listed and he said it just says ______ Residence that were were listed as relatives, I said, that we did not have a relative by that name.  So when I hung up I called back and they said that they just look for people with the same last name in the area.  I just found it very weird and looked online and was surprised to prove that other poeple have had the same problem.

If they really want to collect their bill let them and the US State Department sort it out with the social security administration and revoke the document that says that I am an alien and non-US national (basically not having any rights because of kidney failure).

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one being pestered by these people.  The lady that calls me is so freaking rude (her name is Lisa or Miss somethingorother sometimes).  I too owe student loans that I cannot pay.  My husband is disabled and doesnt work.  We have a three year old daughter and in this economy it just isnt easy and those werent the first bills on the priority list.  They, like someone else mentioned, have taken my tax refund the last two years.  The lady that is calling me is coming from a 614 area code.  She apparently called a friend of mine that I used as a reference when I filled out my college application like 8 years ago.  So my mother gave them my cell phone number and everyday literally they call me and I'm telling you this lady is so obnoxious. The phone # that she calls me from is 614-759-8325.  I tried to call the 866 # tonight after like 9pm and all it did was ring and ring, I couldn't even call to leave this lady a voicemail.
