Could not understand them. Did not speak good English.

This company shows up on my caller ID as Gateway Intl.  The person they want to speak to does not live here and did not give my number to anyone.  I told them that and to stop calling and take me off their list.  They said they would but it would take 48 hours.  A week later they are still calling me.  The next time they called I finally just told them I was the person they were asking for so I could find out who they are and what they wanted.  He said his name was Jack Martin but his dialect is very Indian. I dont believe Indians are named Jack Martin.  He said he was from Applied Card Bank.  He was mad when I got all the info and then told him I wasnt that person hehe.  He is calling me illegally and harrassing me and he has the gall to be mad cause I want to know who they are. Its also against NC law to use a fictitious name to collect debts and I do believe they did that.  On caller ID they are using some sort of forwarding thing for their main phone number which is 866-873-9172, because caller ID shows a local number and when you try to call them back at that number it is not a valid number.  I dont know how they are doing this but they are.  If they call again I am just going to block them after I scream at them one more time :D

These fools called my work with a name similar to mine, telling me they needed to talk to me about my Applied Card bank credit card from phone number 1-866-873-9172.  John Watson was the name of the person that called my work and left a message for me.  I called back 1 minute later and they told me that John Watson had already left for the day... This is all bull5h1t!! They are running some sort of SCAM here!!  They wanted all kinds of info from me, even though I was not the person they were looking for!!  The people I spoke with had a heavy indian accent!!  Is John Watson a common indian name?

How do you block them?

I encourage you all to complain to the bbb, the do not call list, and your atty. general.  This is obviously a scam.

They called me twice, and left no message.  I blocked them via my block list on my cell phone

I just got a call from this scumbag company. April 13, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. 866-873-9172. This is a boiler room-type call. Indian. Can't understand a word they are saying Wanted to know who I WAS? I told them they called me, they should know.  Kept dragging around. I told them I would not speak to anyone one the telephone. I told them if they have an outstanding debt that they think I owe, or out of statute of limitations claim, to mail documentation.  He got (Marcus) verbally abusive and I told him to go to hell and hung up on him.

This number has called my cell phone almost 6 times already. I dont pick up to strange numbers and my friends know this after being a victim of a prank call. The area code looked weird and i googled it and it belongs to a "Toll Free " number. I googled the whole number and found this page. Now thanks to this page i know that i can keep  ignoring these things and it looks like i might as well block the number. I am 17 and a Junior. I own no credit cards or anything of the sort.

But thats just a sample. Im not paying 3-15bucks a month to see who this ass is calling me. Rather just block him

These people keep calling and I tell them I'm not the person they are look for and they say their sorry and will make a note of it and take me off their list. Well... I'm still on their list and they keep calling. I'm ready to fly to India and kick some ass!!

The same number has been calling me.  They keep asking for a Michelle Weedman, I don't know if the spellings right, but I continuously say it is not me when they call but they continue to call anyway.  One time I said I was not her and to please take me off the calling list and the guy said yes Michelle, I'll take you off since your her.  I think he was trying to be a smart ellock.  But I'm tired of them calling harrassing me, so today when they called, I again said I was not Michelle, and when they asked my name I said I was Hannah Montana.  He then read out the Michelle woman's address and I told him it wasn't mine, that I lived on Rock 'n' Roll Dr.  He finally just got confused and hung up. They don't like getting messed with back.

me too, i want to kick that assy- boss who stole my phone from some services in US and now runs a lucrative business oversea. it is sad that hired workers are doing their job: keeping dialing!

These callers are such a worm in a rice bag.  I am in a process of finding work and expecting calls from prospective employers and two calls per day at random hours from six AM to six PM from these worms are very annoying.  I wonder if our lawmakers are doing anything about this...

annoying people askin for people i dont know and have had this number almost 15 yrs. said it wasent me. an blocked the number.

Called place of work, about personal business matter, got rude with boss who told them personal calls were not allowed.  Asked if that person did work there.  They were told not to call back.

I have had only one call, but I want to stop it before it gets bad. Can't understand a word they were saying.

I got a similar call trying from a Indian speaking gentleman wanting to know if they have the correct person. I said that you need to leave a message.  How do I stop them from calling.  I feel that if I owe a debt, I will pay it and do not need someone from another country telling me WHAT i need to do.

I get one everyday: yesterday it was Hector Williams: today it was Mark Robinson.It was the exact same person with the accent !

These people called my mother's house and asked for me regarding a "private" matter. They were told I do not even live there and I never have even lived there. The number was 866-873-9172 and the man's name was Rayn Jackson from the Aegis company. They provided an address I previously lived at, but couldnt even verify my middle name upon request. Sounds like a fraud to me. BEWARE

No dumbass, listen to my voicemail.  I'm trying to dodge collection so much that the voicemail on my phone says a different name.  Then they claim there is "technical issues" as to why they wont remove me from their system.
