- FrustratedThis number has called me several times looking for a family member. They say they are trying to collect a debt from a payday loan that was never paid back! These people are crazy. I aske them to remove my number but they just keep calling. This is all a scam they have called from several numbers in the past for the same scam, all the privios numbers are listed as scam numbers on google so I think they got a new one. Well I hope they continue to think I am stupid because They will soon learn how smart I really am!!!!!
- Caller: they say they are an attorney's office
- Call type: Debt collector
- Another Scammer!!!| 5 repliesThis number called me as well. Left a message looking for me under my maiden name. Have not used my maiden name since i got married 11 years ago this month (April 2014). So anyways this number is just one more number to add to the list of numbers that call either my cell phone or my work number with pretty much the same message. This one is stating i am a defendent and the message was pretty much cut off from the very begging. It stated my name and said that if i did not know this (used my maiden name) to please press 1 or if i do know this person to please press 2 to speak with an investigator. God these people are relentless!!!! I started keeping track of all the phone calls i get. I have been doing this since last June and so far i have had 23 different numbers contact me with almost the same exact message. Alot of times they say that they are going to send a notice to my work or home. hmmmm been almost a year and still have not received anything like that! HAHAHAA....I wish after all these unanswered phone calls and no call backs that sooner or later these Piece of %*#*%('s would leave me the hell alone and move on. It is a damn shame that some people do fall for this type of Scam and give these [***] money, because these [***] threaten people with arrests. If you do get these phone calls please DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY!!!!!! they are SCUMM BAGS OF THE EARTH!!!!!! If you do not recognize the number DO NOT ANSWER. Let them leave a message and DO NOT CALL THEM BACK! They thrive on fighting with people over the phone...they love it. The more you argue with them the more they will contact you! Hope you all heed my warning here! Thanks for listening!
- Another Scammer on DutyI received a call from this number and the woman to me I had a payday loan dating back from October 2011; which is crazy because I did not do such a thing in 2011. She refused to give me any information, said she would see me in court. I hung up and immediately called the FBI, an agent told me right away it was a scam, do not give them any money and report their calls. The thing that got me was they had my SS number, and a bank I haven't done business with in years which is why I know it is a scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY or INFORMATION
- Caller: JD Marketing Group

- AngieThis number called my cell phone and left an automated message asking if they had any information on my whereabouts to please contact them regarding "me" the defendant. Where do these people get our phone numbers??? Had a message previously and called them back and said it was from a payday loan back in 2007 from a place called Insight Corp?? No clue. When I had the lady on speaker and told her I needed her name and all information from original creditor so I could gives information to my boss, who was an attorney, she suddenly could not hear me and told me to call her back when I didn't have her on speaker. What can I do to get theses people to stop calling my number?????
- Beth replies to Another Scammer!!!| 3 repliesWhen talking to the person did she sound like a black lady?
- ValI also get calls from about 4 of these, I had my apartment broken into, identity theft over 7 years ago. At this point they are past the statue of limitations (look it up online). Turns out the criminal took my checkbook, laptop social card my drivers license and god knows what else!!! Everything I had at the time was on that computer. I have had someone threaten to come to my house and serve me papers, which is bogus. I also contacted the FBI and my local police dept they also said that its all a scam. Know your local state laws and the Fair Credit Consumer Act! Stand tall and don't cave in, my lawyer thinks they are coming after me now because of the loss of a loved one and that they can get money from a possible inheritance.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - Pepsigrl replies to Beth MillsDon't pay a single cent!! It is a scam! They called me a few months ago, they wanted me to give them my ss #, when I wouldn't they told me they were sending the police to arrest me, never happened. I called the local police - they told me it was a scam. They called again, I asked for the details to be mailed to my home address - never received. Just got a call again - they had the same scripting as previous posts, claiming my maiden name is a defendant. Scam!

- Hollie| 1 replyI got a phone call from this number saying that I owe money to a payday loan company (loans.com) which I didn't and have never dealt with! She (Vicky Sullivan) said she was trying to help me out and they have requested records from a bank that I haven't had in over 3 years and they were trying to get everything straightened out! She the loan was from Oct. 2011 which I didn't have a bank account at that time! Now they are saying I'm being charged with 2 charges! It's very frustrating and I want it dealt with!

- HelenReceived two calls today one on my home phone and the second on my cell phone. The caller (Denise Richards) stated she had my number as a person of contact and asked the whereabouts of a relative. She stated she was an Investigator. She left a message for me to contact her with the whereabouts of this relative. The phone number she left was (1-866-883-2350, Ext. 1210) and she referenced case #2014-97208. Calls were also made today to my spouse from this same number trying to locate this same relative. These calls have been happening for the past several months.
