Note came with a fake boarding pass for Seat: 07-C and Confirmation: 8732.
When I googled the text, this site came up and I found out this is a marketing ploy. Thank heavens for the internet.

Delta - 21 May 2008I received the same thing today. I hate these types of advertisment. I can understand how a senior or someone could be fooled by this. Having traveled on US Air last month i wasn't sure that's why I checked. But I guess if it were really true it would have come certified mail as most prizes do.

lollipop1959 - 13 May 2008Same mailer came today. Notice how it says "flights fill quickly, first to cal, first to fly"... Ironically its from Dollar rent a car and US Airways... I've never rented a car from Dollar nor have I ever flown on US Airways... It also has the same seat # and confirmation number as the other postings... SCAM SCAM SCAM...

old scout 51 - 1 Jul 2008I got mine yesterday 6/30. Just like everyone elses. Reservation #8732. On the back of the "Boarding Pass" it states that "This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with American Airwline (Yes it was misspelled) or Dollar Car Rental, but they are major suppliers." I guess the scammers can't even hire decent help these days to spell check. And I can only imagine what the 7 Day Rent-A-Car is - probably a Yugo left over from the 80s.
