Call rec'd on cell yesterday from tel # 866-887-0973 at 2:46 P.M. No answer.

Call re'd from John Gonzalez-772-215-5560. We don not know this person. We answered the phone and all we heard was a radio. This person should be reported.

phone service from car dealerships. Lexus dealer as my case but they are from many different dealers.

I received a call from 866-887-0973.  I called back and got a recording saying that the call may be recorded for quality purposes.  The person answering said the call was being recorded and asked for my name.  I told her that I received a call from this # and wanted to know who it was.  She again wanted to know my name.  I told her that I would give her my name once I knew who she was.  She asked for my # and looked up my info and verified my first name.  She said that she noticed I had called a Nissan dealer X and wanted to know if my needs were met during that call.  She wanted to ask me a bunch of questions about the car I'm looking for, etc.  I told her I was at work and did not have time to answer the questions but that my needs were met during the call.  She wanted to ask the questions anyway, and I had to end up hanging up on her.

I've been getting calls from this number 2-3 times a day for the past week, and I am car-shopping.  I am just thankful that they are calling from the same number.  So now I have given them their own special ring, and it is the "silent" option on my cell phone.  At least now I don't have to keep hearing the phone ring!

Car dealership.  It was a call from someone I had actually corresponded with online about buying a car.  Hopefully they won't pester me.

I keep getting calls from this number at all during the day and night time up until around 9pm.  I haven't answered any because caller ID shows it to be an 866 number (which I refuse to answer).  I just wonder how long they are going to continue to call without being answered before they give up.

I called the Toyota dealer looking for a car then starting getting these calls frp, 866-887-0973.  When I answer nothing is heard and the call is disconnected, and the same when I called the number back.  I guess I'll stop answering, but I wish they would just quit calling, especially if they aren't going to say anything.

this has something to do with third party follow up from vehicle manufacturers, not any dealer you may have contacted. i'm in the car business as an internet manager and this is a relatively new thing, so i don't know all the specifics about it. so far as i know, if they don't leave a message it doesn't technically constitute contacting someone on the dnc. they're counting on you not picking up then calling them back later. since you contacted them, they are then able to contact you with impunity.

do not pick up the call and do not call them back. they will stop after 90 days of your original contact

These guys were just following up on an internet request I made last night looking for car prices for the new 2010 Ford Taurus.  They were polite, no problem really.  I told them I alread got the info I needed and that was it.

Car dealerships all around Tx. and La. use this phone service to follow up to purchase their vehicle. I contacted several dealerships in a 2 month period and they started calling to get me to buy from them using 866-887-0973

I started getting this call last week and now they continue several times a day.  It is annoying

I keep getting called ON MY CELL at least twice a day (anywhere from 11am to 4pm) Getting REALLY annoying! First time I answered there was nobody there. Haven't picked up since and they never leave a message. I have NO idea how they got my CELL number! AND unlike other posts, I haven't bought or looked for a car in over 2 YEARS! Whoever you are, STOP!

I also just rec'd a call from this number. I called back and they were from a car company saying they call after requests are made by phone or on-line about cars. I told her that I had not done either and that by law, if I request they remove my cell phone number from their system, they must do so or they could be fined if they call again. She said she removed my number. I tried to stay pleasant as she's just doing her job and wasn't the one that called me, and she was very pleasant back. Hopefully this will take care of it. My cell phone is registered on the "Do Not Call" registry list, so I'm not sure how my number got out. Makes me angry. One of the reasons I got rid of my land line was so I wouldn't get these types of calls. I didn't for years, but I guess times are changing. For the worse, I'm afraid.

Every day or two this number rings our unpublished phone number- I answer- never anyone there and I immediately hang-up.  Annoying to say the least.
