- Tired of scams| 5 repliesThis is a company called Capital Process Serving & a woman by the name of Shana Rutlidge states that she has "several felony charges filed" and will serve you at your residence or place of employment with the local sheriff dept. I would like to see them try. I will have the attorney in my office standing right there with me to hand over suit papers of my own. I'm so tired of these people trying to scam others out of money that is not even owed to them. The only debt I have is my car loan and it's actually paid a month ahead at this time. I'm about to change my number just to have a little peace and quiet again in my life.

- Call type: Debt collector
- Antonio replies to Tired of scams| 1 replyThis person called a job I've used to work at years ago saying I have a warrant for my arrest
- Wilson| 5 repliesCalled my work and cell to let me know I will be getting served and taken to jail. Also told me if I had small children to make sure they had somewhere to go cause they would call child services to pick them up. And to make sure I didn't have any firearms in my possession.
What will it take to stop these people???- Caller: Capital Process Serving
- MJG replies to Wilson| 3 repliesFile a complaint with your state attorney general. It is very illegal to make threats (which are also LIES). Do not waste any time on these "people".
- wilson replies to MJG| 2 repliesThank you!!
- Ashley| 1 replyI received a phone, YET AGAIN, from this company. Claiming to have warrants prepared to be filed. I kindly told that lady to stop calling me. I've never taken a payday loan a day in my life.

- xleaving messages on my home line - I just activated a landline recently and they ask for someone else by name....every time they call - clearly they are phishing. They threaten to send police from the county I live in to arrest me at my home or place of work. Harassment.

- shan replies to Tired of scams| 1 replyI got a call today and it really scared me at first. But i talk to my friend and she told me it was a scam. Exactly what you put on your post was what they told me.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. - CWG40 replies to AntonioTotal scam. If you were the subject of a criminal investigation, you would be aware of it from law enforcement. You would not hear about it from some scummery-scammery debt collector. Being in debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for it.
Warrants are only issued by judges in your local district. They are only issued on the basis of a request and a police investigation. They are only issued to duly constituted law enforcement officials. Debt collectors have nothing to do with the criminal justice system.
This is a scam meant to scare you into paying the something. Don't fall for it.

- Sharon replies to Tired of scamsNo need to change your number. Just download a good call blocker app and then add this number to the black list. The number won't be able to ring through to you. They called me about 10 minutes ago . I declined the call and they called right back. Within seconds I blocked them and now they can't call at all.
- BFThey called and left a message on my 14 year old daughter's cell phone, asking for Lisa Smith (not her name, my name, or anybody we know), and they personalized it by mentioning the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office in the message as it for make it seem more legit -- I'm in Louisiana and we have parishes instead of counties. I don't even live in Baton Rouge! My daughter called back, got voice mail, and told them she was a kid and didn't know any Lisa Smith. Googled and found this site, thanks to all who have posted to reaffirm my suspicion that this was a scam, not a wrong number.

- CM| 1 replyJust received this phone call from Gary Spalding on my cell and then at my work. Voicemail on my cell says that they have warrants in my county (which they had the correct name of county, but I have no warrants). Said that I was not the same individual and asked them if it was for employment verification and they said yes. They have my full SSN. Told them that CM was no longer employed here and he said, "She still thinks she works there."
I know it is a scam, but they have a LOT of correct information about me.- Caller: Captial Process
- CM replies to CMI know it's a scam, but still scary that they have that much information on me.
