Got a taped message to call this number 866-889-0257 (no other message), but the caller ID number it was from was 609-718-2432 (lots of reports here on that number - mostly related to mortgages and banking)

Left a voicemail message on my phone today - "Please call Alaska USA Credit Union at 866-889-0257".
I have my home loan with them, so I called back.

Got a machine:  "Thank you for calling Alaska USA's mortgage servicing center" and it then asked for the last four digits of my social security number.  I am current on my loan, so I just hung up instead.

My monthly loan payment is due in a few days, so this is likely just a reminder call.

A New Jersey # 609-718-2432, called and when i picked up indicated to "Please call Alaska USA Credit Union at 866-889-0257".I have my home loan with them, so I called back.  Got a machine:  "Thank you for calling Alaska USA's mortgage servicing center" and it then asked for the last four digits of my social security number.  I am current on my loan, so I just hung up instead.... then I called Alaska USA Credit Union # 1-800-525-9094, they said I was fine with mortgage as well...

DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER  OR ACCOUNT NUMER....

Did anyone get a call that has never been an Alaska USA customer?  If not then I think AK USA had a data breach.  I got the call at work.  I haven't been an AK USA customer for a number of years.

This is a scam! Do NOT give them any information! This person said they were with Alaska USA Mortgage on a Friday night at almost 9:00 p.m. Hang up and call the number you have for AKUSA instead. When I told him I was good on my mortgage, I thought his call was suspect,  and wouldn’t give him any information, he just laughed. When I called the number back after Googling it, just to see what i would get, it said they were closed.

Ive never bee an ak usa member,  but I constantly get these calls with the same voicemail call alaska usa at (866) 889-0257
I've looked up the contact information for different sections of the bank and never seen this number on the site either

I'm current on my mortgage and alls well so I suspect this is a scam. They don't call anyway...send emails and alert notifications . Sometimes the fraud line may call but this ain't it.

I just got this call as the last few have commented from the same number. The lady asked if I was -blank- and I said a huh. Although they got half my name wrong. Said I was late on my mortgage then started to asked to verify personal info. I said no you called me so I won't verify anything. She then said oh sorry it looks like it was a mistake your payment is not due until October. Really weird.

866-889-0257 is a legit number for AK USA FCU mortgage department

They called 10am on a Monday in Alaska. They gave an employee number for reference. I balked with they asked for my loan number.
I do have a AK USA FCU mortgage. I ended the call. I then called AKUSA fraud department. They CONFIRMED it as a legit number.

Someone called, identifying themselves as being with Alaska Federal Credit Union. I looked up the 1800 number for AK USA FCU and this was not it. I suspect Scam. Tried to report it to the CU but was put on a very long hold.

I received a call from this number too. They asked for my name and address. I told them i didnt feel comfortable. They said to call the number back, but i called Alaska USA now Global Credit Union. They checked their system for that number and said they do not recognize it. Dont give that number any of your information - very Sus!

The call came to me, I hung up. Alaska USA is now Global CU. I understand they do not refer to themselves as Alaska USA any longer.
