This group of people at this repo service are telling lies when they call you. They spoke to my sister and told her that if they didn't get the car, the LIEN HOLDER would have a WARRANT made out for me...
THIS IS A LIE.... warrants are for criminal situations, not civil situations....
a contract between a lien holder and it's customer is ALWAYS a civil contract... nothing criminal... these go to a different court
The bozo (didn't give his name, also a violation) who called my sister and said all this, just happens to work for the police dept... boy did he feel dumb! She told him that the warrant threat is a lie and not possible. She told him to NOT call her personal number again. THAT is also a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
Don't let them bully you! I was ripped off by my lien holder and the tow company they hired. The lien holder REFUSES to fix the damage the repo/tow company - Camping Companies - did to my car, altho my lien holder - it's HSBC - admitted who was to blame!

I found a card at my front door with a case number and a hand written name of Chris, along with phone numbers.  We don't owe anything on our vehicles and we are not delinquent on anything.  Has anyone ever turned them in?

Ya it was left on my door too also w a hand written case number. I called the number.. It will ring and hang it self up . so I left a message on the cell phone number that was there, I still have yet to hear from them.. And my car note is paid... I'm confused \=
