Received a call from Amber from 212 659 6472. She Left message to call back 866 899 3440 with a file # . About documents to be dispatched. I called the 866 899 3440 # . Answer machine said it was meridian recovery. I pressed 3 for general info, man answered and said it was MPS/ meridian pacific systems.  Can't find a business with either listing on goggle.

Did you ask what they wanted? I just received the same call from an Amber. She tried sounding very official and threatening. I haven't and most likely will not call back.

I just received 3 calls today saying that I must call back too 866-899-3440. Said it is about property associated with this number. That I must call back today or they will deem my address and employment as they have on record. Said they have made several calls. and then stated the date ad time and said I have been notified. His name was Mathew

same scam called me today, similar the others but it was 'Amanda'
My wife is getting a similar one with the same lady's voice but a different name from a different company.

Same message as those above me have received. Louise called and said it was about pending issues with my property and important I call back today. She logged the time and said employment verification would be entered as correct.. This was on a voice mail. I did not speak to her.

I got the same call and i changed my number they were callimg serveral times a day. After that they started calling my family and asking for me.

I I just had that number call my house same description they came up on my caller ID as LA Fitness

I don't answer calls on my cell that I can't ID.  They left a voice mail; I called back on a land line.  Got a human being who transferred me to an extension that did not pick up.  Same story with a file number, logging in day and time, we've contacted you before (which they hadn't).  Very officious.

I got the same message as Gina, he said his name was Matt. did not call back. their phone number was blocked.

Over the past week, I have received 3 messages asking to call this number back.  "Amanda" is the person who called me, but the message was the same as the others.  I have received these calls regularly for the past 3 years.  I have asked every person who I speak with to provide me a written validation of debt, and I will gladly settle the debt.  Of course they never do, but always claim they have done this, and are past that point.  This is a scam, as my credit report proves this is not valid.

The same thing happened to me and the same thing was said to me as to the others listed on here....It was just a short while ago, July 29, 2015, around 2pm.  They said the same story with a file number, logging in day and time, we've contacted you before (which they hadn't). Also,  it was the same story about pending issues with my property and important I call back today. She logged the time and said employment verification would be entered as correct.

"Jeremy" calling from "unknown" number left a voice message on my cell saying I was required to call 866-899-3440 in re: "property associated with this number" (there isn't any) and to reference case number blah blah.  No indication of a company name, just "my office." Claimed they needed to verify employment info, for what, I don't know.  Bogus.

Try to collect money that I don't owe

I got the same message and I returned the call. This was a valid company, with valid information that did pertain to me. I understand the issue with scams that are out there, but if you have been receiving calls for years, then there may be something that you may need to address.

Mine was Ashley and now calling on my home phone. Anyone know how to get them to stop? Calling my cell at 2:00 in the morning now!

Person named Amanda called, left several messages as the others.  Finally answered one, and she tells me she is with the Process Server dept, and that they have been trying to serve papers for a lawsuit against me.  She will now transfer me to another dept with more information.  So I started recording at this time.  Then another woman comes on the phone saying that she is litigation and there is a matter against me, and she needs to "lift the restriction" so that she can see what the case is regarding.  She then states that she "was able to lift the restriction" and "the case is an old hs? or orchard or capital one card.  It has been around a lot of collection agencies, and has come to legal action."  I informed her I was recording the call, and that I did not believe this to be a valid debt as I have never received written documentation although I have asked every bogus person before her.  What is scary is that she has my name, last 4 of ssn, and dob, along with current address.  I have reviewed my credit report lately and these items simply do not exist.  Please be very cautious about buying these people's crap.  I also asked her to stop calling me, my family, and they may only communicate by mail, and hung up.

She called me back, stating that I hung up on her before she could tell me that she is valid and will provide any information.  Just email her at support@mpsa.com and she would be happy to send me any info I need.  She also let me know that they record the call too.

Now if she was legit, she should not have called back after I asked her to stop calling me.  Additionally, Ms. Benson knows I want a validation in writing, which she has my mailing address.

I got this same call at work and my family received this call. Crazy thing is I know this debt doesn't exist on my credit report and she told me that part of it has been paid in the past just not the entire balance. Well I've lived at the same address for years so why didn't anyone send me a bill for the remaining balance. I'm going to call back in the morning and tell them to stop harassing me because I know it's a bogus threat.
