I just called. It's to a vending machine company, canteen vending.

just found this charge on my account and can not account for a dollar expenditure

Canteen Vending makes sense, I have 2 of these for $1 on my account and I use the vending machines at work w/ my credit card and it always shows as Canteen Vending.

I've got a few of these charges....just realized its from going through tolls on my recent business trip in Illinois and Indiana...

I think it is the new system of vending machines. if you are buying from a vending machine which has a credit card system, I am sure this is the problem...

It also shows up if you pay a toll using a CC.

I had the same thing happen when I bought a candy bar from a credit only vending machine. It was
a valid charge.

Had to look this up, forgot I had used a credit card for a toll on I-90.

glad someone figured this out...i was beginning to worry, but i do use my debit card at the vending machines at work. much relief.

I'm sure it's from credit card vending machines, because my school just got a new one and I didn't start seeing this # in my account until I started using my card on the machine

The number was on my bank statement. It is the vending machines that accept debit or credit cards. I just used my card in the machine at school yesterday, that how I figured it out after reading the rest of the post here.

I have never used my card for a vending machine. There was a charge on my account. I do not understand the charge and cannot even think of a vending machine I have seen that takes a card. Stills seems fishy to me.

got a charge for $4 on my credit card with this number. at first couldn't recall buying anything, but just now remembered i bought a cupcake from atm (yes, that's that new exciting thing :) so i believe these are numbers for vending mashines and this sort of ATMs.
