- FMCaller left a message. "Contact Amber at extension 78641." Tried to return the call, but after connecting, only repeated, "Your call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance."
- V.EllisOn Saturday, September 27, 2008. Received a v/m message from Sandy at Ext.74303 to please call back. I called back the same day from my cell, twice, for a record. The phone just rang.

I told them to leave me alone but no so I await my check or i will have to hired a collection agency to collect

- ksobserverBunch of scumbags obviously, Called HR at my place of employment, claimed they needed verification of employment for me. Then immediately started asking about my wife, if any and where was she employed. I'm single and have not applied for credit or a new job anywhere. Not sure who they were after, but definitely sounds like scumbags.
- good creditThey called me too, there is someone who has run up a lot of debts in Nevada that has my name. They call every couple of years looking for this bum.
I have never worked in Nevada, and am not the same age either.
Now that I read the previous posters caller name of Pioneer Credit, I called and listened again and that is correct. It was hard to understand from the recording at first. - Jim BobThey left a voice mail that said "this is Joanna" (no mention of the company). She left a call back number and a reference number. I called her back (out of curiosity). The woman that answered said "hello" (again, no mention of a company name). I asked for Joanna and the woman totally fumbled her words and didn't know what to do. It smelled very bad...

- PIDDLERETURN CALL AT 1866 901 1415 ASK FOR CATHY AND A REF #. CALL CAME FROM 732 781 1216
- justiceJust received a message from supervisor to call this number and ask for Jessica. No reference number. I don't ever receive phone calls at work....so of course I was suspicious. Probably is a debt collector though in my case for debts I incurred years years ago but still I know they aren't suppose to bother you at work.
- Concerned CitizenThis company is engaging in illegal activity by contacting Employer seeking whereabouts of alleged debtors.

- seanThey called the store my daughter works at looking for me, her dad. HUH!!! How did they know she worked there, how did they know I was her dad. This is totally sketchy!
- Caller: don't know
- MarieReceived a message from Jeff Davis to call him at 866-901-1415 with ref #D58233. Called back, recording "this call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance". Placed on hold. Transferred to Adam's voice mail which states he is away from his desk and to leave my name, social security number, and a call back number. I hung up! My SS#????? Are you kidding me???? SCAM!!!!!
- Bob SmithI replied to their barely audible voice mail about being overdue on a bill payment. They said the company name was Credit Recovery. The woman said she did not have the name of the company I owed money to. That should have been a tip-off right there, but unfortunately I was interested in protecting my credit score, so when she asked for the last four of my social security number and my birthday to confirm that I was the correct Bob Smith (not my real name), I gave her those. She said I was not the Bob Smith she was looking for, but I am now concerned that this is an identity theft scam. Has anyone had a problem with identity theft after talking to these people?

- JennyAllison Jonas left a voicemail from (845) 589-9258 asking about a Steven Rodney and gave a call back number of (866) 901-1415 ref#E62481. I don't know anyone by the name of Steven Rodney.
- SuzyThis number 866-901-1415 Called my place of employment on several occasions and we put them into my voice mail. When they called today and asked for HR/Payroll to verify my employment, it throw me as I have not applied for anything! I did last year receive a call, didn't get the # where the woman was screaming at me to pay my bill, wouldn't tell me who she was with, going to have me arrested at my place of business in front of my co-workers, etc. I asked her to hold on and got my boss/owner and he picked up, when he identified himself they hung up......................On another occasion, I told them to send me something in writing and I will address it, they said the already had, but never gave me the name of the company they were "representing" . Next time I get a call from them I'm going to use a fog horn and blow their eardrums out! Then they will stop calling!
- cyndylouI also received a call from this number at home, plus there was a message left at work from 888-261-7801. I'm pretty sure these two numbers are connected. They were trying to locate an employee of mine. Pioneer Credit is the name of the company, or at least that's what they told me. The 901 number left a message and mentioned some property I own, so naturally I called them back to see what was going on...they got my attention, but this has nothing to do with that!! Classic bill collectors I bet!

- BigA replies to HarrassedThis is a debt collection extortion scam and your SIL is the intended victim.
One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money. They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
