Repeated calls by machine, no real person, asking for someone I've never heard of and who is not connected with my number.

never-ending phone calls - recently more of them after 5:00 easter time...no one there...think someone is trying to use my number to make illegal long distance calls?

I don't know this number, and no one leaves a message. Will not answer if I do not know what it is for, and if there is not a real person leaving a message.

Just got a call from this # and didn't answer...no message...probably a colection agency.

Keep calling asking for person I don't know.  Called the number and told them to quit calling, hopefully they will stop.

Call was an automated voice asking for a person i've never heard of.  I've received an identical call from the number 800-947-2987.  I've looked into the numbers and it's mentioned as a scam collection agency that pressures to get your SSN.  I have not gotten to the point where I've spoken to a real person as I just hang up when they call.  Their touch tone prompts do not respond appropriately, so I find them fishy.  Company may be called CBCS.

Yep just got a call, I get a lot of random collection agencies asking for some random person. They aren't very persistent it is usually a different agency each time thus I know it is a complete scam.

Got a call from this number but I wasn't home.  No message was left.

First time I received a call from this number.  It was automated.  Didn't ask for a specific person.  I couldn't really understand most of what was said even though I listened to the message a few times.  I never answer these types of calls.

This number calls and leaves no message.  The call goes through out the day.  I just got a new number, and it is a non published number.  Don't know how they got my number.  Want the calls to stop

I am repeatedly haveing the same problem. When I block this number, they just change to a different number, I will not answer these calls and they do not leave a message which means they are digging for what I consider private info. My number is unlisted and I do not give it out so, these calls are not ligitimate and everyone should be cautioned not to give out any info when they call.

WARNING TO EVERYONE:: Go to google.com, put any number in the search engine and get all the info on the person that the number belongs too, even if it is unlisted, it also gives a map to the location of whoever owns the number!!How can we keep ourselves safe with everything getting easier for the theives!! I called the number back and talked to a woman that would not give me any info on who the company was and pushed to get my info. When I questioned her on why she would need my info? she got very confrontational and hung up on me! I talked to my phone company about this matter, they said that they could change my number, my number is unlisted now and isn't that old and told them no. They informed me that they could not do much but worned me that they were bogus and just trying to get private info and that anyone could get an 800 number as easy as a regular number and do the same thing that is happening to us. All they could do was warn me not to give any info and/or change my number, but that they could get that one by simply going on google.com, put any number in the search engine and have instant access to our info!! I tried it and was shocked to find out that it was true. It is basically a phone book on the net with extras and even if your number is unlisted it still works and it even gives a map to your home!!

I got a call today-they left a message on the machine-sounded automated-advised a collection agency for CBC-I cannot locate any collection agency by that name in google nor do I owe any past due amounts. I look at it like suspicious emails-If I don't know you, I don't answer!

Received a call from a heavily accented woman asking about someone i do not know. Told her i did not know the person and hung up

I recieved a letter with a call back number of 866-902-3451. I call it back using *67 then dialing the number. I got an automated answering system which asked me for Home Phone Number before giving me any other options. The letter said that I have an outstanding Bill for $576.00 with AT&T wireless. I have never had service with them, and have been in Germany for the past 3 years With T-Mobile as my wireless provider for pre-paid service. Sounds like a bunch of Bull to me.

Calls and calls and calls. Never leaves a message. If you answer, no answer. We think it's some type of scam, since we don't have no dealings with any collection people.

my info does not come up on google I have an unlisted # maybe you need to have a block put on your number

I am also getting a bunch of calls and they are asking for someone i don't know.  can report this to attorney general in your state.
