this is from someone claiming to be a debt collector.  They said one of my student loans defaulted and he was attempting to collect debt.  I know for a fact that none of my student loans defaulted.  I even called sallie mae to make sure and they said that (1) I was not in default and (2) they didn't refer collection cases to this firm.  He was even had information about all of my loans with sallie mae.  It's a scam but it was disturbing how much info he had.

It was not a scam.... they are a legitimate collection agency. They have been retained by sallie mae in regards to your PRIVATE student loan. There is a big difference between private and federal student loans. YOU need to understand what financing you are applying for and be pprepared on how you are going to pay it back .......just saying

Hmm...Sallie Mae says they don't refere collections to this firm, but "pays my bills" says they do. Sounds like PMB is a lying sack of s*$$t fraud to me.

    not taking it
Yes, this company is a scam. They called an associates home demanding to speak to me, left a message on their machine saying if the call wasn't disconnected they'd assume it was me and keep calling regarding an important business matter.  They claim I'm in default on my student loans and my mortgage. House is paid off, never had a student loan. Hope they enjoy dealing with my attorney

CCV called my cell phone but the message was fuzzy and I could hear buzzing.  I called the number from my office and the guy would only tell me the company is CCV and wouldn't tell me anything else unless I gave him my name.  I said no thanks.

This company is CCB Credit Services from Springfield, Illinois and they are a scam.  I have never had a student loan in my life and they claim I have.  They keep calling even after I have told them to stop calling me. File complaints with the BBB and the FTC.

Just got a call, but didnt answer my cell and they left no message.  Tried to call them back later but the office was closed.  Cant wait to see if they are calling about a student loan. If so, cant wait to tell them I'm 57 years old.  I'll tell them they can take that student loan bullspit and stick it right up their azz.

Got a call from these people, when I called back, the recording has no business name, no individual name--OBVIOUSLY a scam company.  Any decent company proudly states their name and gives you a list of extensions, or a directory.  CLEARLY, these folks are trying to get away with something.  Ridiculous, no clue how they got my cell number.

    Mad as Hell
I too got the same call and the lady Trevor seemed to be very professional.  But because I have been a scammed in the past I will not give out any information to anyone without a formal letter.  So when I put the number in I got a list of information that this is a scam.

The number on the caller id was 800-755-5249, but the call back number on the voicemail was 866-910-2604 ext 3327 ask for Leland Hill. They called my cell and didn't leave a voicemail. Then they called my job and I had the receptionist put them through straight to my voicemail. He didn't say what he was calling about. Just left the 866 number with an extension, name and the time he would be in the office today. I have don't owe any collectors so I'm not sure what they want, how they got my cell number and especially my job number. I would never list the main line to anything I fill out, I would put my direct line so the fact that they called the main line tells me something is fishy.

Thus # called my place of employment & left a # to call. Don't know who this is.  My job said whomever this is should not be calling places of employment. They are passing it on to HR.
