Got a call from this guy name David James, very forceful in his approach, said I was being served notice by phone? really! by phone.  or extension, claimed he had have a file number on his desk, then said if I did not sign these documents he would have to come to my job to get them signed, and my boss would have to verify the signature. is this legit or a sophisticated scam?

this is a SCAM - guy called said company represented banks for recovery of funds for people who write bad checks.  I asked what bank - he named a bank I never heard of.  Plus I haven't written a check in over 10 years.  Hang up immediately and report to authorities.

Got a call from Vivian Moore stating that she is a liaison with original acquisition group in upstate New York.  She will be outsourcing some paperwork to our liaison(?) down in my area.  She will be sending an employment verification to wherever my last paycheck came from and documents in the most updated address that is listed with United States postal services  Once. delivered, this could interfere with my current banking status and if there is an address I would like to add please contact their office at 866-927-0828.

This is a SCAM! Pay no attention, and move on!

I just got the exact same call! What's funny is it's automated. Definitely a SCAM!!! I have current bank accounts with two banks and haven't had an issue with either of them since I have been with them for several years! Nor do I have anything outstanding. They are idiots!

Same exact Message as "Shar Will" above. TOTAL scam, what is scary is this same place called constantly a few weeks ago and even quoted my last 4. He asked for me to confirm. So sad these companies are up just to scam hard working people. STAY away and give them NO information on yourself. I pay $4.95 a month from my phone co to BLOCK # s and every new number they call me from now gets blocked!

Total Scam. Rebecca Thomas called me from 866-927-0828 it was automated stating she has a claim against me and will be calling my workplace and neighbors to get my asset information. Scary but totally ignoring it.

Same as Heathern618 above except caller did not identify herself. Not responding to call. Hate vague threats and coercions.

This Rebecca Thomas 866-927-0828 has been calling my EX Mother in Law!!! With regards to me and my new husband.. Then she tells my daughter and I look like an ass..what the hell !!

Got a call from this number today.  Said served over phone even though I denied being her. Very rude and forceful said would be at my home and place of business tomorrow. . We shall see..

Got the same kind of call from David James via voice mail. He had my last four digits and used my maiden name. He also said he would be "escorted" to serve the papers and if I was not home, he would do come to my place of employment and serve me in front of a supervisor. I'm a  full-time student, so good luck with that.

Had a call from the same number listed above stating that there is a claim against myself and my SS# and that myself, my spouse or my attorney should return the phone call before they take legal action F'in balls on these scammers.

OMG they called an out of state family member about me, and they're bombarding my phone with threats to harass me about being served or something. I don't even know what kind of debt/claim they keep referring to...!!!!

Thank goodness I found this website or else I would have called them back in concern! lol

This is basically a run-down shopping center in a run-down area of  Depew New York.  Perfect for a standard kitchen-table debt scamming operation.  A lot of them are attracted to run-down small towns in New York for some reason.

I got a call on my cell saying they were going to serve court papers on my wife. The caller said his name was "Actually Tomas Hamilton". Mr. Actually Tomas Hamilton said we have the opportunity to call 866-927-0828 to give our finial statement. We called the police instead don't give them any information and inform everyone on social media. We are now going to contact the attorney general's office.

Got a call form this company today - call back on a different phone and they knew the message.. total scam.... can't wait for the calls to start on the send p[hone.. crap!    The message is crap--- looking for a person named D.. and then they reference 'if this is Marcus'.  total crap.
