Threatened to arrest my elderly father if he doesn't call ASAP.

Caller identified himself as an attorney. How does he sleep at night? Harrassing the elderly. Also, calling people at work is not allowed. The next time he does this to me I will be informing him of several rules he broke in one call. He should read the rules on harrassing calls.

They tried scamming me , now i am warning everybody to not pay them , pay creditor. Thats if you owe anything at all. They monitor this web page and will try to scare you to pay them. I am going to abuse them as much as they cursed and tried abusing me.

David Cooper called my parents, who I have not lived with for over 20 years!  They claimed that I had offered their number as an alternate number.  No way no how.  And they're collection is a scam!  I just refinanced my house, and my credit was over 800!  If I owed money, how could that be?  It can only mean that their so called debt is wrong.

Sorry 800 Notes admin. Its hard to use etiquette when dealing with these people from moreno and woods. They are trying to scam people, just like they tried to do me.

This number is for Moreno and Woods, a dummy company set up for Marshall & Ziolkowski. These are SCAMMERS who will try to get you to pay them for non-existent debts. They will use any trick in the book (posing as law enforcement, threatening criminal action, calling you a liar and telling you they're going to ruin your credit, etc.) to try and intimidate you. DO NOT provide them with any personal or financial information - tell them you know they're scammers and you have already contacted the appropriate authorities with all the false information they provided you.

I recently spoke with a Mr. Russell Tinsdale from a collection agency called Moreno and Woods.

Mr. Tinsdale claimed to be a Lawyer (pronounced Liar)

He threatened me with a lawsuit over a debt that is well past the statue of limitations. I was told I was guilty of fraud. As I explained that the sol was expired, Mr. Tinsdale became very abusive, threatening me with arrest and lawsuit. When he realized I was not going for his lies, he resorted to personal insults about my character, education, and the history of my life. In doing so, Mr. Tinsdale broke several laws.

All Collection Agencies and Attorneys should be well aware of the

THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT.

I believe the best way to combat these types of deceptive collectors is by making a formal complaint. This will not solve your problem immediately however, when enough people complain, this agency will be investigated and put out of business. Until these folks are on the radar, they will continue harassing and bullying people across the nation.

What ever you do, when talking to anyone from Moreno and woods, never provide them with any personal information about yourself. These are the worst kind of debt collectors, they could care less about the laws in place or that they are dealing with human beings. Their goal is to hurt shame or bully you into paying a debt. They don't even care if it's your debt.

The best thing anyone can do is get familiar with the law and then make a formal complaint when you know your consumer rights have been violated. There is a vast amount of information available on the website I posted above.

How do I get the name and number of the attorney or attorneys that sued these wise guys.

I thought about it too. But decided that a very stupid gesture needs to be done upon them. But everytime i get ready to do something they do it for me.  Like someone from their office getting arrested-- two people within the last four months. One spilled their guts to the local authorities about their business practices , to avoid prosecution and take a lesser charge. Dont pay these con artists a dime.  Where are you sweet Lisa. I know you are there looking at this. Look for another job sweetie , when your friends at work get busted next month dont be there.

This is a repeat, they've been calling for several months but are now using this phone number 716-688-7182. I haven't responded to their calls as a result of what I read here. Thank you for helping those of us who would have normally given in to their tactics.
