fishy call/ returned call not much substanse at the other end/ sounds like the old paper trick!!!

left voice mail at work @ 5am, said they were RCS Sports Dept. Wanting to confirm delivery of Fedx package and left a number. Called and went on hold then was disconnected.

Received a voice mail from "RCS Sports" wanting to confirm details of a Fed Ex delivery.  Called back and was put on hold.  Hung up.  No further information available.

Had a VM from Melissa Rice at RCS Sports this morning to call back about a FedEx Priority package. Turns out this is a come on to sell you safety supplies. Nothing to do with FedEx.

Melisa called regarding some federal express package delivery...I called back and talked to someone else, I asked them what they we selling and they sell maintenance supplies but, wanted to send me a free shirt (NFL)..Nothing is free and these peoploe ar ful of bull!%?!.  I now continue to call and bother them..Just for fun!!

Call seemed odd. I did not call but checked this site first and sure enough Melissa Rice from RCS Sports tried to get me too.

I had the same thing happen.  Call from a someone who didn't leave their name, wanting to verify address for next day FedEx delivery.  I Googled their phone number and found this thread.  Thanks.

Received the same call from Melissa Rice on my voicemail. Told to call back at 1-866-928-6435. Tried calling back and put on hold then disconnected.  RCS sports info had a priority FEDEX package to deliver to me.  This is definitely a scam!  Beware...tis the holiday season!!!

Do not call back. Somehow they find out a way to get ahold of the Maint supervisor or person in charge of buying supplies. They try and tell you you are getting something free like a best buy card or nfl jersey. All they are trying to do is sell you light bulbs or safety supplies for a very high price. DONT CALL BACK

said they had a fedex package for us...i heard another person in the background talking about maintenance supplies...this type of call in the past has been an effort to trick us into pruchasing their products...i would lkie them blocked from calling us...thanks

Great thread - I received a voicemail too, after about 6 seconds she started message, "Hi this is Melissa Rice at The RCS Sports Information Dept. I'm calling about your Fedex priority package so please call me back tollfree at 866-928-6435 so that we may confirm delivery today. Thank you so much."
Before I found this thread, I called the number back, automated message answered and I was put on hold with music for about 2 minutes then it disconnected. I called back, same thing then I found this thread. Wow that Melissa Rice gets around. Thanks!

I received the same call as the rest.  Who are these people.  There has to be some kind of record of who owns this number.

Got the same call Dec 29, 2008. This scam must be working, been going on for some time know.

Melissa Rice of RCS Sports division called, left a voicemail (even though I was in) regarding my Fedex Priority package and to call 866 928-6435.
The whole message sounded pre-recorded and fishy.

Same thing as everyone else. Melissa rice called posing as FedEx, etc.
I called Fed Ex at 1-800-463-3339 and reported it to someone in the Fraud/Legal dept. Maybe if enough people call and complain to FedEx, they might do something about it.

Melissa seems to be working hard for her money.

Still going on 1/22/09.  Same Melissa, same RCS Sports info dept., Fed-Ex priority package, same scam.  What irks me is that my receptionist dutifully forwarded the call to my voice mail and went back to filing her nails.  It sounded fishy to me from the git, so the first thing I did was Google "RCS sports info" and this page was at the top of the list.

I got a call from Melissa Rice too, on 02/12/09; same message, same phone#.
