Have been receiving call because I have not sent their contract back. Blake Hoffman calls me all the time in regards to a grant of $480,000 that my business has been approved. This money is ours but I better act real fast Blake even put in writing they will give this money to another business just like mine. hello?? His quality control Dennis Kirkland (poorest in knowledge of any sorts let alone the english language) this man asked if I was ready to rock n roll?, sure if I give them $2,500. dollars. The contract was sent out. I am sick to my stomach. I fed them the very best of what I needed to survive for my bus. and employees. They have nothing on any funded grants yet hundreds of thousands of hopefuls and who knows how many hundreds of thousands they have ripped people off for? Capital Grant Assistance League new name was Capital Investment Services Inc of Nv.  Scam-Scam-Scam. The original company opened in April 2009 CIS. The name was purchased. They are telemarketing company who calls you to sell their service. There is no service after they receive your check which is why you are told to wire it. The telemarketers know nothing outside a two min pitch and another calls you back because guess what? they found you money!!!
They are being investigated at present. They will change name again and resurface.

I too received a second salesperson call from Capital Investment Services. The second man was a Dennis, poor in the english language. I checked into this company, a friend in the car rental bz went down there when in town. They said they found $635,000 for his company but he needed to act fast. We have been laughing ever since. He met with this Dennis and he has a missing a front tooth. At least here in Mn. we have some sense and pride.

I was contacted by them and am currently checking into their services. From what I can see the claims made by others on here don't seem to be substantiated by any evidence of by someone having been a paying customer. Actually they appear to only have one name, Capital Investment Services, Inc. It appears that they are smart in business and have purchased multiple URL's to drive traffic to their site. It also appears that their affiliation with a Helping Hearts and Hands is what they are referring to as the "Capital Grant Assistance League". From what I can see they aren't misrepresenting themselves, and it appears that they do have some clients that have received grant awards.

Yes they are a telemarketing company, but they are not a scam. Their claims are to provide you with the best grant writing team available, they don't make any promises, nor do the guarantee that you will get grants. Their BBB report is clean, they have been around since 1990, and they have 0 consumer complaints. Yes they do have a couple of different name references, but the main name is the same Capital Investment Services, Inc. Not sure where some of these claims are coming from, but none of them seem to have any merit. I suggest anyone that is considering doing business with them do the research on your own, you will more than likely find what I have found, and that is that they are very professional and conduct themselves in a business like manner. The agent I spoke with seemed to be very knowledgeable in grant writing and the information that was shared with me I found to be very helpful.

Their BBB report is clean because Jeff just purchase the company TWO months ago so really there are two month old company capitalgrantinc.com!!

Every scheme to get you to pay money for a government grant is a SCAM.

Anyone on this board who says otherwise is part of the scam and is trying their damndest to STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Apparently you used to work for them, you seem to know a lot about their internal structure. Sounds like sour grapes. Also you should learn to spell it might make you sound a bit more intelligent sounding and believable. All I have to say to those thinking about using this company, be a smart business person and do your own research. A bunch of blogs by ex-employees isn't any way to make a sound financial business decision. I am sure all of us have ex-employees that have negative feelings towards us.

How would you know that unless you used to work for them? Nothing in their BBB report or Secretary of State licensing shows that information. I am convinced now more than ever these boards are made up of ex-employees who are trying to harm the reputation of their ex-employers. No wonder boards like "Rip-off report" are under investigation for fraud and extoarsion. Again, all I can say for those looking into the services of companies like Capital Investment Services, Inc. you need to do your research with valid organizations, like the BBB, Consumer Affairs, Secretary of State, or even the Attorney General, blogs by ex-employees is no way to make a sound business decision.

An old saying comes to mind, "the exception is not the rule". Yes there probably are many companies out there that are scams, but you can't generalize the entire industry. That would be no different than stereo-typing of races.

You are wrong not one funded and no Moe did not sell the company to Jeff he just took his name off as you can do.  This company is not 10 years old. Muhammid (?) Jeff and Sheryl just opened in Apr/May of 2009. Moe simply bought a 10 year old biz that was registered. They are truly a scam operation.  A friend tried to get me to work there, at best I learned of my friends true character.  A thief!! He has also since then left.
The pitch is to get you to believe John and since you seem so gullible donate your $$$$ they may be able to purchase a couple more URL's perhaps even pay there rent.
