The number on the caller ID is 336-358-4900. 866-938-8060 is the call back number that they leave. This is an automated dialer for a collection agency called Accounts Receivable Management located at 3859 Battleground Ave., Greensboro NC.

Like the others on this list, automated calls have been coming in from (336) 358-4900 for weeks now asking to speak to someone who doesn't live here. I've called the call back number (866) 938-8060 several times but have never gotten thru until today. I finally got my number removed from their list but the rude lady that I spoke to had no interest in listening to my complain about their service. Why should I be required to call them to be removed? I plan to report them to the BBB and see if there are any collection agency regulatory services that I can report them to.

I have been receiving calls from this same number, 335-358-4900 and the call back number given is 866-938-8060 and they are looking for a David Dawson.  I have been receiving these calls for almost 2 years, ever since I had my phone number changed.  I have spoken to these people at least twice and told them they have the wrong number, and to just call information and find out the number is assigned to me and not a David Dawson.  It doesn't matter.  What makes it worse is that I have severe sciatica and have trouble getting to the phone, and then only to find out it is these creeps harassing me again.

You are so right, Shon, they just started calling my number and asking for me by my maiden name which I have not had in 11 years! So there is no way that I owe anything from that time period. I live in NC and the statute here is 3 years.

Same people...sourcerm.  They called about an old Cingular, now AT&T wireless, cell account, in which I had canceled due to their lousy service.  This was atleast 4 years ago.  In the state of NC, which is where they are located by the way, Greensboro, the Statute of Limitations is 3 years.  I have not recieved anything in writing from them or att about this EVER nor even a call to this day in April 2009,  this account was from 2005.  They are a scum bag group that try to find old debts and collect on them even though they are not legitimatly entitled to collect on these debts.  The fact that they are breakaing the law in their own state just shows how crooked they really are.  If you want to Email the CEO of this company his name is Mark Littrell  email is marklittrell@sourcerm.com

I received calls from 336-358-4900. They are a ligit collection agency. In fact they offered me a great settlement opportunity, 50%. Look, I tried to avoid the bill for years. Paying 50% made it go away for ever.  The bottomline is the best way to stop calls if you owe money is to pay your bill.

Both of you are wrong. First, a statute of limitations does not forgive debts for deadbeats who choose to avoid paying their bills. It limits the legal means by which an account can be collected. You cannot be sued! You still owe the money though and the creditor has every right to collect their money from you. Second, I know some bill collectros and they are just doing a job, unlike many deadbeats (like you two) who would prefer to steal from compnaies like AT&T who provide a service and grant you credit. Third, grow up!

My world fell apart.  Lost my job, could not get another "good" job for 14 months largely due to age discrimination. Tried like hell to work with creditors who all just shined me on, would not consider any options other than collection actions/legal actions... as a result I sold my home, lived as a homeless person until I could get a halfway decent job so I oculd rent a place.

Deadbeat my ass.  They kicked me to the curb.  Now I am not working with them.  I will not pay one more cent without a judgement and a garnishment act.  The creditors and bankers are huge pieces of crap that have no soul and have in my case lost any hope of voluntary cooperation.  Screw them and if that makes me a "deadbeat", so be it... I wear the term with pride.

You sound just like the guy I just talked to from this place and I wouldn't be surprised if you were the same a**hole. I know people who work for collection agency's as well and they don't talk to people the way this guy just talked to me. He outright called me a deadbeat because I couldn't pay, then he said I should sell my personal things to pay off the debt. This was after I told him that I lost my job and I wasn't able to pay not because I didn't want to but because keeping a roof over my family's head is a little more important right now then a debt I own Verison. Then this pri*k told me "fine, I'll continue to call you daily until you do pay it" and he hung up.

I called the number back and talked with a supervisor and he gave me the same attitude and actually said to me after I told him the guy I had talked to called me a deadbeat "well if you're not willing to pay this then you are a deadbeat".

I don't care who you are or why you are calling me, nobody has the right to talk to me like that and I'm tired of feeling like there's nothing I can do about it.

Listen...I've done collections on bills. And of all bills, I had to the person who called people transported via ambulance in emergency situations. Some of whom ended up dead...and tell them as polietly as possible that they needed to make payment arrangements.  Then due to a work injury and the inability to return to work for nearly a year, my household became very deliquent on bills. DONT sit here and call people deadbeats when you know nothing about the circumstances.  I've been on both sides of that telephone making both arguments! But these people expect me to call them and give out personal information when I have no idea who they are or what they're calling about?? You want me to make a payment over the phone???? Are you nuts!!  In today's day and age of credit fraud and identity theft who in their right mind would even attempt to make a payment over the phone to some "joe blow collections" from po-dunk, nowhereville w/o any proof of ligitimacy??  You want my money...send me something on paper proving who you are and that you have the right to collect money from me.  Dont have some English/British chick (I live in PA) w/an accent leave me a msg w/o any identifying information.  Then we'll talk.

    Are you kidding me?
I got a call from someone who refused to identify herself. She said she was calling to collect a debt from like 1999 or so. She wasnt even sure of the year. Something about an unpaid telephone balance. I don't know where or how they managed to get my cell-phone number but they had it as well as my previous address. When  I asked who they were collecting for she was unable to tell me and hung up on me. I called again and spoke to a "Mr. Morton". The first thing he asked me for was for my social security number. PLEASE!! Who would do such a thing? Anyways as it turns out, he refused to provide me with written notification of the deliquincy, he was VERY rude and ended up getting frustrated with my questions that he hung up on me.

In reply to this, the collection company is not the original creditor so the money is not owed to the collection company.  The original creditor either: (1) wrote off the amount due as a bad debt and took a deduction on their tax return or (2) sold it for pennies on the dollar to the collection company (which sell to each other as well; or (3) did both 1 and 2.  Regardless, I do not owe the debt to the collection company, if I do indeed owe something (which is usually a disputed amount), then I will deal with the original creditor.  But since they "disposed" of the debt, they can't deal with you because it is not their debt any more.  AND LASTLY, THESE COLLECTION COMPANIES NEED TO REALIZE THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CALL SOMEONE AT THEIR WORKPLACE.  I FIRE STAFF FOR THAT, WHICH CREATES A BIG 'OLE PROBLEM FOR A COLLECTION COMPANY SHOULD A DEBTOR LOOSE THEIR JOB DUE TO CONTINUOUS PHONE CALLS.  Don't tell me the debt laws have changed.  The "bankruptcy debt laws" have changed, but a consumer still has protecvtion under the Fair Debt Collections Act" and you have rights if the collection agent calls you at work.  CHECK IT OUT AND STOP THE HARRASEMENT!

I worked for an attorney and we actually listened to a collection agent who told someone they were coming to take her children and hold them hostage until the debt was paid.  I also heard another agent tell a consumer "I will send my posse down there and destroy you mam. F U pay your debt!"  Yeah right, nice folks huh!

You are so full of crap. Zombie debt collectors want people to think they still have to pay this dead debt but that is a bald-faced lie. Refuse to acknowledge it and demand in writing that they cease communications.
