Either it's a glitch or someone's coloring WAY outside the line.

This was a text to say that I had won a $50 Target voucher.  Does anybody really 'bite' on these calls?  How do these people get my cell phone number?  It makes me furious to get unwanted calls on my cell OR at home!!

Got.the text too for $50.00 target card.  I agree, do people really respond to these??  Wake up people..nothing in life is free...scam.scam.scam!!

Got a text from these people and i did not athorize them to send me a text and don't know how they even got my cell number

Got the same text message....$50 gift card from Target.  The number came from an Atlanta number 404-934-5642

How do you make these stop! I get them every so often and even when I reply STOP or NO, I still get them.

yep....  got the same msg.  however, mine was from 515-770-9220.  bunch of effers is what they are !

Got one today as well...tired of these stupid texts.  They use a different caller ID number by scrambling them.

I got one of these for a free $50 target gift card too.  Mine came from some weird place -- 941-447-3044.  This needs to STOP!

Same here.  Received 6/10/12, via text message. It was sent from the telephone number 1-303-669-2995, which is Colorado; however, who knows, could be a spoof or fake number somehow.

I live in the Orlando suburbs area, with area code 407.

It said the following:
You have been selected to receive a FREE $50 Target Gift voucher Call 1-866-938-9168 to redeem

NOTE:  This MAY be related to another text spammer I got messages from a week or so earlier.  The other one was www.bestbuy.com.bcfz.biz (link in the text).  There is a strong possibility that the TARGET and the BEST BUY spammer are one in the same, originating from the same spamming group, and we're going to get them!

The message was "Best Buy is giving out FREE $1,000 Gift Cards! Enter the code: "FREE407" at www.bestbuy.com.bcfz.biz to claim yours now. Only 122 left! txt out to stp

Of course, this is NOT the official Best Buy website!  I'm going to send all this information to Best Buy headquarters to assist them in tracking down these spammers who are implying that Best Buy is behind these spam text messages, as well as forward everything/all I've received from them, and let them take it from there.  Why? Because "Best Buy" is NOT "giving out FREE" anything!!! And that's FRAUD, what they are claiming in these texts.  Target is going to get all these tips as well, all of it.

Please post ALL TEXTS you received HERE, to assist with the investigation.  This spammer needs to go DOWN, and FAST.  Best Buy has a lot of resources, and money, to find out who is behind these spam messages and claiming that BEST BUY sent them!
