- MRSo weird they called me on the 9th as well. I did call back and spoke to someone. He stated that I owed for a PayDay Loan, he stated he had all the documentation to back it up, I stated that I would contact my bank to get the statements to verify the deposit of this supposed loan. He WOULD not let me get off the phone and insisted that the situation had to be resolved immediately, didn't happen! He called me this morning and I told him I was at the bank and had to call him back he said okay and hung up. Now I've tried several times to call the 866 number back but when I press 1 after the prompt it says the number has been disabled.

- LisaThey called my phone and left a message stating they wanted to speak to someone regarding a legal matter stemming from a complaint. They said the date and call were being recorded and that a response was necessary to make a pre-trial hearing. They made it sound like it was a legal complaint filed in Wayne County and that the person must respond. Since they had already called 2 other phone numbers of relatives of mine I knew it was the same people and did not pass the message on to the person they were calling for.
(They left a name and extension for contact 18669393388 and ext 24. They also left a 15 digit number and a 5 number pre-trial code. - Laliqueand called me as well on the 9th and the 10th and the 11th. I am trying to get further info from them but now cannot contact them by phone. Anybody have an address on this company?
- ml| 3 repliesThese guys called me as well claiming they talked to a relative about arrangements for repayment and that they had a recording of that conversation but it would take 45 mins to retrieve it. Unless they have some resource to contact the crypt that "recorded conversation" isn`t there. They also claimed that the arrangements were to occur in an account that has been closed long before the "arrangements" were to have been made. Very insistant about repayment.

- X-Employee| 7 repliesI used to work for part GM and after being laid off I took a job in collections. This company VRM group I used to work for. The information I am about to provide is to help people. I worked for this company for a short period of time to find out all of there illegal practices that they promote.
Be aware if this company calls you. Granite they are collecting on legitimate debts for the most part. There payday loans are legitimate, but there credit card debits they try to collect are usually in most cases are out of statute. By out of stat I mean they have been written off by the bank and they should be uncollectible but these people try to collect the debt anyways. Do not make a payment on these accounts because it renews the debt for 7 years. Most states the statute of limitations is 7 years but check your state laws. It goes by your last payment date. This company will try to collect them anyways. They buy these zombie debts usually for .0035 cents on the dollar and try to collect the face value. So if they have a $5000.00 balance they only paid $17.50 for that account. Ridiculous isn't it?
Another big law they break that you want to be aware of if you are dealing with them is they will add money onto the balance that you actually owe. For example if you owe a debt for $800.00 they train people to get the debtor on the phone and say they owe triple the balance in this case would be $2400.00. I never did this but have seen others take advantage of people. This is a total violation of the law and could be interpreted as fraud.
I plan to go to channel 2 news to report there illegal activity and I am in the process of writing a book that will help the average consumer. I have inside documents that supports and promotes there employees to break the law. I have been in this industry for three years and have a lot of knowledge to help the average consumer.
They will also look up your county and threaten to sue you if you don't make arrangements. That’s a lie they won't do anything.
I recommend not dealing with these people. If you do tape record all of your conversations with them. Soon VRM will be another boarded up building. Stand up for your rights and good luck.
They will refuse to give you there address if you ask them but it is:
There address is:
Vision Receivable Management Group
21 South Rosseler Avenue
Cheektowaga, NY, 14206
Hope this information is helpful.

- tjcReceived call from Barbara Hill, VRM Group said I owed Advance America in Wythe County, VA and hasn't paid them, which is a lie. This lady said I was being sued. I told them I was disabled and had an arrangement w/ Adv America to pay 3.00 per mo, all I could afford, and never missed a payment. Ms Hill said I was behind at least 3 mo, which is another lie, I have money order stubs for every month, thru Dec 09. By the way, Adv America sent back to me the Dec 09 payment, said my acct had been sold to an outfit in KS. What should I do about this? Have no contact with VMS at all?

- UNKNOWN replies to X-EmployeeYea. U definitely don't want to pay this company. They are a mess. For some reason they have been made to think that they can illegally collect. They are pretending to have an attorney in the office and they don't. Be ware...
- Extremely FrustratedJust so you know they are now blocking their number from caller ID, however are willing to give it to you as a call back number. I just received a call from VRM group and again they represented themselves as a legal group regarding a case of a person with the same last name but different first name. They were very rude!!! And boy do they lie!!! They have also stated that a judgment would be made in the county I live in regarding this matter. Then they have nerve to tell me that it is none of my business after they leave a threatening message on my answering machine saying that this person provided them with my phone number as a contact number. I have informed this other person that they need to contact VRM however have told them not to pay anything or give them any detailed information. Also, do not provide them with any current contact information. Beware of these people!!! I know everyone needs jobs right now, but something stinks here!!! I don't have a good feeling about them or what they are trying to accomplish!
- Tbear_155Man calls me at 7:30 am .... says he's calling me representing the Iron County Court regarding a Credit Card debt, then hands the call over to another Gentleman who says his name is Jeffrey Johnson ... when I asked if he was with a Collection Agency he replied that " No " he wasn't. The only info he volunteered was that he was with VRM Group and that I needed to call him back at this number by Friday December 29th to make payment arrangements or else I would be prosecuted for Fraud .... when i pressed for further info and after a 20 min. attempt to have more detailed info given me, he hung up on me. There is no apparent pending lawsuit against me at this time as far as I know as I contacted the Local County Court to verify their claims ... am very nervous at this time as he basically threatened me & also told me he had access to all my Personal Info including Bank Acct. info ....

- Dotheycallexwives?| 4 repliesVMR Group called my home phone number with a recording threatening to stay on the line to be connected and that if I didn't, decisions would be made (about what, it didn't say) without my knowledge. The person's name the recording said it was calling for is the name of my exhusband... and I've been divorced for 6 years! I stayed on the line (listening to a crappy verion of Fur Elise as I waited) and the recording finally thanked me for the connection, but then the call was disconnected. I looked at my caller ID and called back to see why I'm receiving a phone call for a man I have been divorced from for so many years. I've moved on, have no debts, and I've been remarried for close to 5 years with a nice new house and new phone number. But when I called, I just got a voice mail recording with no one in the office, but it did say that it was VMR Group. I didn't leave a message.
Instead, I Googled this 866-939-3388 to see what VMR Group is and why they are calling my number. At first, I was annoyed at my exhusband, assuming he must've given my number to these guys, but now after reading some of these posts, I'm thinking that they call whoever has the last name of the person they are trying to reach. (Even though my last name has been changed when I remarried.) I'm glad I found this website; it sounds like this is a bogus company, so I'm not even going to be concerned about it.
It still baffles me why companies have automated messages call, and then when you answer your phone, they aren't even available to talk to you. Why do they even call?!- Caller: VMR

- concerned replies to ml| 1 replyThis has been a very helpful site. I was contacted by these people VRM group threatening my daughter that she would receive a court date for fraud to appear in court over a cash advance loan my daughter took out in 2007. It was for 500.00. I wanted information on the debt and they stated I now owed 3 payments that of $362.92. Which is a huge amount of interest if the original debt was $500.00. They refused to send any paperwork regarding the matter but stated I must give them my checking account or credit card information that same day to avoid a pre trial hearing. I am glad I trusted my instincts, because most people would have become frightened by the word TRIAL or anything legal. If the debt is truly owed they would have willingly submitted paper work proving it and not tried to stick it to me or my daughter will double of what was owed. BEWARE DON'T EVER GIVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. IF YOU OWE IT DEMAND VERIFICATION, THEN SUBMIT A MONEY ORDER THESE PEOPLE ARE RUTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- CONCERNEDRude, harassing, threatening people. Original alleged amount $500.00. Attempted to collect 1100.00. Stated my daughter would be arrested and face prison if not paid the same day.. Clearly nothing but thugs.

- Heather replies to concernedI recieved a phone call around 9:30 this morning from caller ID 717-821-9218. Not recognizing the phone number or area code I let it go to voice mail. The message stated as follows: This is sargent Jeffery McCall who was looking for me reguarding check fraud. It was needing immediate attention before legal actions would be taken by handing it over to the county courts. (I live in Maryland - no MD court names or area contact numbers were given.)The phone number to follow up with him was 866-939-3388 with a five digit case number. Almost three years ago my identity was stolen thru the online banking system. One of the several frauds were to a Payday loan for $100.00. After filing fraud papers with my bank, closing my accounts, and filing a separate police report with my local police department. I never recieved any phone calls until now. I looked up both phone numbers which brought me to this page. My first instinct was if this really was a problem - why won't the officer from my local police department be calling me - NOT an 866 number?? BEWARE!!!
- M.N.They called for Miss DiAnn ...... and requested that I have to contact them back right away or they will decide on something on behalf of my interest. They said to press one to talk to representative or call back at .....number. I chose to wait in the line and waited to talk to representative so they can take my number out of their list but when my line got through, they hung up. They are so annoying.
