SDG&E. Requesting eligibility for discount. (A good call you want to answer!)

Whoever it is keeps calling but never leaves a message. When I do pick it up no one is there and the line goes dead! Must be a low-budget telemarketer using 2-bit equipment he purchased off ebay.

They call EVERY day.  Never leave a message.  If it was that important, why no message?

Numerous missed calls from this number, rings once, I pick up my phone to look at the caller ID, just as it goes away.

I think this number has called me before.  It is "out of the area" or, at least not in my phone system, because it makes a different ring.  It shows the number, but unknown.  They got my machine, but left no message!  JERKS!  I am on the "Do Not Call Registry", so I will report it!  They can be fined and sued!

says they are SDG&E but SDG&E says it is not them. *69 gave me the number but it cannot be called. ("The service you are trying to reach is unavailable.") This is something bogus. I NEVER do business with anyone who calls my home unsolicited. (Obviously I need electricity, but I don't give a crap about anything they are pushing by phone if they can send info with the bill.) BTW Cox graciously took the $1.99 charge for *69 off my phone bill. But I shall never get back the hour of my life I just wasted ...

I forgot to mention -- they have called me LOTS of times! Many partial messages on my machine. When I try to answer it hangs up. It's all very weird and just a waste of time.

After a series of calls from this and a number of other "800 Service" numbers, finally a message from SDG&E about a "money-saving" offer. Suspect it's the program that lets them power down your AC in hot weather.

Supposedly SDGE calling for a resident that I don't recognize for a 20% discount program. I doubt it's a legit call but will notify SDGE. There's no way to speak to a live person without answering their survey questions.

Just got a call from this number -- no message left.  I will not answer a number unless it's for someone I recognize and if no message is left, they must not want to talk to me very badly.  I see from recent reports (above) that this is from SDG&E -- so I won't bother to call back.  Telemarketers, take notice.

I answered the call so they won't call back. Must be Conman hiding behind SDG&E name to rip you off.

Received 2 calls from this number today. One just about 2 minutes ago. Left two blank messages on my machine.

I have gotten called a couple times. Didn't pick up. If it is for the SDG&E discount program and times are tough for you, answer. I applied for the discount program after seeing it advertised on TV having just recently been laid off. Usually I never qualify for these kinds of programs but got my acceptance email today. As it turns out I could have qualified a long time ago when my company cut many of us down to 32 hours a week. I don't have a high SDG&E bill, but every little bit helps.

Have received numerous calls from them with no messages left.  Finally used SDGE's home page to contact SDGE and inquire about number 866-948-2251. SDGE said that the number does belong to them and is used to notify folks about a 20% discount plan for which they might be eligible.  They also said that if an anwering machine is detected at the other end of the line, the message is automatically terminated before any message is left.

i just called this number back. It is SDG&E about a 20% discount. They did leave a voicemail.

Nusance calls several times a day, every day, from this number; always hangs up & no message.

Non-stop SDG&E marketing scam. Calls two or three times EVERY day. Added 866-948-2251 to all my phone's Permanent Blocked Number lists.

just received another call from (866) 948-2251. it calls my house every single day and NEVER LEAVES A MESSAGE!!! Discovered the number belongs to a con artist claiming to be from Diego Gas & Electric! DON'T answer this number -- it is a SCAM.
