Call my cell phone from an unknown number stating I am to be served papers within 24-48 hours at my home or work. This is the number left to call back.

scam call will issue warrant for failure to receive served summons. Never heard of it Mecklenburg services no listing scam scum

A scammer who left a voicemail saying he was a federal prosecutor & if we didn't pay him within 2 hours he was personally coming to arrest us. Also claimed to have a 42 page court document that was irrevocable and irrefutable that would be given to our employers. He then called our son who did answer and then called us. Told him that he and his sister were also named and responsible to pay if we didn't. Reported to our local police who confirmed it is a scam and said to put a fraud alert on ourselves since he had our DOB and last 4 of our socials.

Received same call at my work today.

Same "Frank". Gave me his rehearsed monologue and then I fired questions at him..."Who do you work for? What county and state is that located in? Oh, Federal govt? Did you know that the FEDERAL govt doesn't issue or serve civil warrants for dept collection, unless it is the IRS, in which case it wouldn't be a civil warrant it would be a federal warrant and you wouldn't be calling me TELLING me I was being served..Fed agents would just show up.  Do you have anything else for me today? No, ok, try harder next time."

They called my cell as unavailable. When I answered they said they were a private company hired from the law office of Schwartz and Weinstein and that there is  going to be a bench warrant issued for my arrest from Christian County if I don't arrive at my court summons on June 2nd. I told them I never lived in that area, and he advised me to call the 866-956-7430 immediately. However he couldn't tell me what the law firm does or anything about my summons. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one thinking this is a scam.

This guy is keep on calling my number and saying if I don't reply with in 48hours I will be served a warrant.

People about to receive arrest warrants are not warned or threatened in advance.  They are not told that sending money will stop the warrant server.

If you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email or text message, read this:

"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail [or text message]. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."

"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court."

Yup got this lovely scam

I keep getting a phone call from various of numbers but the call back number always happens to be 866-956-7430 (Schwartz and Weinstein or National Debt Assistance Inc). This time the guy left a voicemail. I was told in the past that I needed to be at a court day since I didn't want to resolve the issue for a payday loan for my husband with cashnet USA... I told him I'm not paying ANY money until I receive a subpoena for this. He said he would mail and email me the document that I would be served with. (whatever) well then I received a phone call from Cashnet USA themselves and called the number back to see what was going on. I advised them that I was told I was going to be taken to court for this matter already and why would it be in collections if they are already pursuing with suing my husband? They advised me that they are not suing my husband and to contact the debt collector that has his record on file. I then proceeded to call them and they also advised me that they are not taking me to court. So I ended up leaving a voicemail last night with said Schwartz and Weinstein. They ended up giving me a call back and stating that Cashnet USA are liars and they are taking my husband to court. Then proceeded to ask who the debt collector was to probably give me another call stating that they are them but I did not relinquish this information. And then the guy that I was on the phone with  (William Lower?) said he will need to research this information and he will get back with me. I doubt I will receive a call and if I do, it will be probably be something as to such as trying to get me to pay them. But I know who the creditor is and he doesn't....
