I am getting calls from this number and when i answer she is very ruid. She also will not tell me what company she works for.

I'd like to know who this company is too. She won't give a name however, and is so evasive and rude!

Same experience - they have anger issues. I have not spoken to such a rude person ever, I don't think. I think that it is a one-woman operation. Because the receptionist transferred me to a woman who sounded exactly like her (imagine a woman answering the phone, you ask for someone, she puts you on hold, and them picks up the phone as that person). When we called back a few seconds later the receptionist knew all of the details of the conversation we just had with the 'investigator'.

I had a message on my machine asking that I call a 'Tracy' back at this number and that she was an investigator. I'll try again tomorrow to what else I can find out. Based on the comments so far this seems kind of phishy.

Spoke with her today and when I told her that there was no one by the name she was seeking at my place she thanked me for calling her back. I asked what it was about and she just said that it is a 'private' matter. No fuss, no muss. Just one of life's little mysteries I suppose.

I have solved the mystery....
it is Nordon Collections -Royal Bank Student Loan. Just wanting to make sure we made a payment which we are always on top of. The lady was rude though and said she was an "investigations officer"..whatever. Hope this helps some people.

She has no regard for privacy and is a bully behind the telephone line. Send her a fax to only contact you by mailed correspondence and give your address - she cannot call you after this. If she does, call the CEO of the company at 647-436-2633, attn: Tom Rossey and make your complaint at 888-564-9963. Don't put up with her harrassment!!! Stop so-called investigators in their tracks. Call and complain!

It seems to me that if a collection agency is calling you then you usually have not paid a bill..... So if you paid your bills... you wouldn't be having these problems. They have to do their jobs also...

I agree with the "unkown" its our own fault for allowing it to go to a collection agency in the first place, so why complain about it. I have also had an account got to Nordon and they were helpful, probably because i didn't try and hide from them or ignore them, and the next thing i knew my bill was paid. Our bills are our responsibility and if we don't pay them then we have to suffer the conciquences....

Grow up Sharlene, because when people do not pay their bills, we all suffer in the long run!

Strange Event:
I left Canada almost one year ago and returned a MODEM in a pre-paid package as provided by Bell Canada. Bell has designed a system such a way that when customer returns a package to Canada Post, they do not get any kind of receipt, and Canada Post does not track that box. Canada Post simply ship that Bell Canada. Now customers are on mercy of Bell Canada, if they enter the package in to their system as a received item, customers are cleared. otherwise, they contact this NMC  agency for money.
I have this issue. I have talked to Canada Post and they tell me that it is very normal and that is how system is designed to Bell Canada's favor. There is nothing customer can do. No proof and No ethics.

If NCN's CEO has an ethics, he should investigate this open ended system and stop this practice. NCN is paid for this services by Bell Canada.
