- DebiThis is the number for Flash Point Marketing. They are associated with Full Merchant Funding and hung the phone up when I was talking to them. They had supposedly called me to tell me about advertising.
- Caller: Flash Point Marketing
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Not Jose| 2 repliesWe're getting calls from this number and all that is there is is a recording saying that there is a case against someone named Jose that needs to be resolved. In the message, the recording says to call the same number back. If they want to talk to me about the case, why not just call me? The case number they gave me is 102289. Something is hinkey. I'm on the do-not-call registry, but don't know how to get these people to stop calling. I don't know a Jose.
- Not James| 3 repliesI, too, am getting a call from 866-967-5818. It was a recording from a James Servola saying he's from Retention and Acquistion Recovery regarding a person named James ..... about a claims case 1006929. I called the number to tell them to not call me, that person said they were with the Hennepin County Court House and James ... was being investigated for fraud. I said I don't know a James ... and I too am on the do not call. The guy on the phone was nasty and said if I didn't give him information he was going to send a police car over to get information. I insisted for his name and I told that person I was going to call the police and our sheriff's dept. He said they were the police and I had better get an attorney. Needless to say this was disturbing and I did call our sheriff's dept.

- Not JamesTo follow up on what I previous wrote regarding phone number 866-967-5818, I went to the Better Business Bureau of MN website which reports the phone number belongs to: Flash Point Marketing, LLC, 150 No. Stapley Dr Ste 101, Mesa, AZ 85203 and is a Marketing - Home Based Business. It is not accredited by BBB.
- Not James replies to Not JoseI wrote a couple of notes about that phone number.
- BDI received call from this number too: 8669675818. It said: I am James Servola, director of Retention and Acquistion Recovery....case #.....ask me to call back. I called back and a lady picked up the phone asked me case number. I said I did not write down. Then, she asked me area code, I said my area code. She asked me my phone #. I said you call me so you know my phone number already. And I asked what is your name company. She did not answer me and keep asking me my phone number. She said I need to know your phone number then I will tell you what is next. I said I need to know your company name BEFORE I tell you my phone #. Then, she hung up.
I think this is scam, want to get my information. - flo vurroplease get this number to stop calling
- rgRecording from a James Servola with Retention & Acquisition Recovery advising me I am a person of interest in case # 1000167 and left a call back number of 866-967-5818. Did not bother to call back after reading above complaints. Isn't there something that can be done to shut these people down?
- Ellen| 1 replyI received a call from this number as well from a very rude man telling me the City of Mobile had filed two (2) claims against me for unpaid payday loans (which I have never done) He was very nasty with me while I was asking him questions. He has the last 4 digist of my SSN which is very scary but I eventually hung up on him. It has to be a scam.
- ShellGot a call same guy James Salvatore or Servola with Retention and Acquisition Recovery telling me that he was a private investigator and that he had information on me from my bank.
This is a SCAM. Do not give out any personal information to this company.- Caller: Retention & Acquisition Recovery
- Call type: Debt collector
- eden| 1 replyGot a call from this # claiming to be with a collection agency. He claimed his name was thomas delaney and that there was "a client" filing a legal claim for a charge off (from 2011). They could provide no specific information on the client or the actual amounts. He did have the last of my SSN, bank, address, phone #, and email address.
He was incredibly aggressive and yelling that I needed to pay the settlement amount to prevent the sheriff from coming to my place of work and my house. He said that I had to pay immediately to prevent legal action and being taken into jail until a court date....
I filed a local police report, a BBB complaint against that phone #, and a IC3 complaint as we..
If this was a genuine collection agency the process would be much different. Not so aggressive, yelling, and demeaning as this place has presented.
Thanks - it's meJust got a message from these guys as well. All the same as the people over the past couple of weeks have reported, except that they made me out to be that bad guy, saying I was wanted and I had to turn myself in before they came to my home or place of employment. Since i know i'm not wanted I knew something was amiss and googled it. They knew my county, possibly based on my area code, but they didn't have my name correct when they left a message. I filled a complaint with my AG office in my state. Definately a scam.
- Amy| 1 replyI too spoke with these [***]. However my misfortune is that they hacked into my personal contacts in my phone and called several of them. They stated their names as either James, Michael, or Salvatore. They were very rude and threatening and accusing me of check fraud. I don't write checks. I filed a police report, changed all passwords, and blocked the number with the cell carrier. I am on the do not call list, but this is a whole new level. I will be changing my phone number. This is ridiculous and frightening. This is my wirk cell and could potentially damage my career. These people need to be shut down. They are committing wire fraud amongst other crimes.

- get a life| 8 repliesthis msg is to all you people discrediting companies due to the fact you owe a bill an you are trying to run from it due to the fact you dont want to pay it, an it unspeakable that you would go as far as to try to discredit the company rather then being adults an pay bills you owe, instead you get on bull websites like this which should be shut down an talk to a lot of other unhappy people,,,, rule of thumb stop believing what you read on the internet...

- Not James replies to get a life| 1 replyTo get a life - that's absolutely ridiculous. I'm still getting phone calls from that number. I had a friend trace the # and apparently it's from a call center in TN. This time their message was about the same person, whom I don't know, and that case #1006929 is attached to my social security number! My next step will be to contact the state attorney general's office. Obviously this telephone number is crossing state lines plus if it threatens a social security number - it's obviously a FEDERAL OFFENSE.
- Janget a life....you need to get one, because you sound like you are employed by one of these SCAM companies that clearly go after the wrong individuals. I too received a call from this number and I owe NO ONE and I pay all of my bills. So instead of you "ASSuming" that the indviduals on this site are not paying their bills, maybe you should let your employer know that they need to go after the people that ACTUALLY owe a debt.
Have a nice day! : )- Caller: 866-967-5818
- Not James replies to Not JamesOkay Folks, I just talked with my State General Attorney's Office. Yes, it is illegal regarding what this "phone number" is doing. It's Federal and it was suggested that I file a report to the Federal Trade Commission via web address: www.ic3.gov. It was also suggested that I formally file a report to my State Attorney General's website, which for me is www.myfloridalegal.com. I hope this helps for all of you who should probably report it!
- kddavis replies to get a lifeI work for a Community College and we are receiving calls from this number where people are demanding confidential information about students. They always get angry and hang up when they don't get their way. This is definitely a scam!
- Not ME replies to get a lifeWow get a life you are a moron, I am sure you either work for this company or are related to someone that works there, these people are scum and should be shut down, for them to tell anyone that they are going to send someone to arrest them or threaten them in any way is against the law, your an idiot
- devguy replies to get a lifeHey, you rocket scientist, what on earth is the basis of your claim that anyone on this treat is trying to run from any bill? What is "unspeakable" is that a shill like you would troll around educational and anti-scam sites such as this to try to defend criminals trying to extort money out of people.
Also, there is a major difference between a legitimate organization trying to collect on a debt that it can legally validate under the FDCPA and the behavior of the criminals seeking to commit fraud. BTW, I'm generally a happy person. Are you happy working in the boiler room? Are you happy to see folks raising awareness about scammers?
