Someone called my restaurant stating they were the electric company and if I didn't call and make a payment of 1920.00 someone from the electric company was going to shut my power off in 45 minutes.

I got a call just a few minutes ago from this number stating that they are the IRS and they will put a lien on my assets if I don't back and make a payment. LOL. This is horrible!

I just got a call from this number, they stated they were from the IRS, and I was in default and they were coming after me if I didn't settle what I owe.

Just received a phone message stating they were the IRS & if I didn't pay they would put a lien on my bank account!  Called the number but it just goes to a busy signal.... guess they only want to talk to you when they make the call!

I just got a call from this number 866-978-7145 saying they were IRS and were going to put a lien on my assets if I did not pay.  Oh how scary, I am broke, struggling and can barely buy food and pay rent and bills - actually I can not.

so i just got a call from this number saying the cops are coming to arrest me because i did fraud!!!and he hung on me

just recieved an automated call from 1-866-978-7145 saying they were from the IRS and they were going to freeze my assets within 24 hours due to back taxes due.

Just got a call from "IRS" stating I was delinquent and would audited..bs

Twice this morning this number (10:14 and 11:15 AM) left messages on my phone - I do not answer "Unavailable" callers.  They stated that due to my inability to settle my debt to the IRS, they would be putting a lein on my assets and bank account.  They would also send an IRS collection officer to my home to complete the paperwork.  I did not call them back and have blocked their phone number as I know this is a scam of some kind - or maybe just to annoy and upset people

I just had a call from them as well, stating that they are IRS and I can pay $3486.92 right now on the phone, or a police can come to my house. This is very rude and stupid. But when I heard their voice on my phone, before calling them back, I kind of believed it.

I received 3 calls so far today from someone claiming to be the IRS and they were going to start proceeding to attach my assets if I don't call them at this number in 24 hours.

Total scam, took a complaint that it was IRS calling and they owed back taxes. I told the victim of the scam attempt to get a compressed air horn can (The ones used for watercraft emergencies) and  if he can get someone on the phone to BLAST it in his ear, shout some vulgarity and then hang up!

I received two automated calls, staying they werr the irs n they were going to freeze my  assets n bank account, so I called back and asked what they were talking about, n he rudely said the police was going to arrest me for fraud . I said you are crazy, what kind of fraud, n he hung up on me. Wth don't these people have anything better to do!

Got same call, they stated they were the IRS and i was behind in payments.  Someone was going to come to my house to collect.  Called IRS and they said should i owe anything i would get a certified letter first not a phone call.

I received a voicemail from a robotic sounding person claiming to be the IRS deliquent taxes department and that an agent would be stopping by my house to help me fill out the paperwork. Scary!

Got a call from (576-003-840, outgoing dialer only) recorded message to call 866-978-7145 for the IRS, there was an audit and I owe money. I called, Mike Jones (craziest accent ever) badge #18091 telling me I owed 2000.00+ from 2008-2011 tax audit. I questioned where my certified letter was showing exactly WHERE I owed any money, he said it was send Feb 2015 & undeliverable. The IRS doesn't work that way, period. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he stated he was the 'highest power' over my situation. He told me within 30 minutes they would be arresting me, I told him no, no they won't, but bring it on... he hung up. I reported the scam information to the REAL IRS online. Call from a man with foreign accent, identifying himself as IRS Agent Nash Taylor.  Said I owed money to the IRS and must pay within 24 hours or risk arrest.  I asked him what my legal name was, or what the last 4 of my SSN was and he could not give me this information - "for security reasons".  I told him I had not received any mail correspondence from the IRS and that they always communicate first by mail when there are any problems, so please send me verification by mail.  He replied 'Fine' and hung up.

I called the number back, and got through twice. The first guy answered, and i said take my number off your list, he said get lost and hung up. The second time, a male answered, both with heavy middle eastern accents, asked if i wanted his coc* .i hung up. I blocked the number, and got a call from unknown. Same message IRS.

I received a call from 576-033-8451 with an automatic recording (which sounded convincing enough to make me listen) stating that the IRS had decided to take legal action against me due to my "Inability to fulful my tax obligations" and that they would be putting a lien on my assets. I panicked and called and the first thing that stood out is that the line is incredibly staticy just like when I call my family outside the country and the person who answered had a very thick accent. I didn't want to jump to conclusions so I hung up and called again and same thing very thick accent and static on the line. The man talked for a good 5 mins straight about how I owed $1600 and that the local authorities would be notified and I would be arrested for 72 hours and they would also inform the local media, my employer and my family of my situation and that I could "chosse to settle the matter for $800" over the phone. When I began asking about the outsourcing of IRS call centers and questioning the lack of written communication of the IRS of all places the man began talking very fast and very lound to intimidate me. When I stated I would be calling the main IRS number to verify this information he screamed at me "I have you on tape and this serves as evidence of your unwillingness to cooperate we will be persuing legal action agaist you goodbye" LOL this is terrible I can imagine this has worked for them quite a bit!
