Feb. 27/09 at 1:36 PM the number 866-982-9805 dialled my number here in Alberta.  They left no message. Call display said it was an unknown name. I would assume if they had good messages for me they would speak!

no message given to machine, no sound heard by me

Called and  when answered no message given I am on dncl.

They just called my number here and of course, didn't leave a message. I'm also on the DNCL (in Canada), so they have no business calling me if they are based in Canada.

Female caller said she was calling from Leisure surveys and asked quite a few questions about Nato, supporting our troops in Afghanistan, politics. I am on national do not call list also but have gotten more calls since I signed up.

they have called me 11 times in the past 3 days

i hope who is behind this 1-866 scam will
be locked up in jail for a longgg time.

Picked up the phone and there was no response...I HATE that.
Attempted to return call and it rang with no answer.

Called at night in Quebec, didn't answer. They hung up when answering machine picked up.

I want this stopped .  with all the privacy legislation, how can this be allowed to go on

18669829805--Those are busters. They called my number. When the answer machine started to work, they said nothing and just used all my machine's memory space. Total 2:04 and there is nothing.
Why those busters like to do such fking calls?

Oui ils peuvent vous appeler. Les maisons de sondages ont le droit car elles ne vous appellent pas pour vous solliciter ou vous vendre un produit. Si vous ne voulez pas recevoir d'appels de leur part, vous devez répondre au téléphone et demander à être inscrit sur leur propre liste de numéros exclus (do not call me list).

Aussi, certains appels de telemarketing peuvent toujours vous rejoindre malgré que vous soyez inscrit sur la LNNTE si c'est une compagnie avec qui vous faites affaire ou affiliée (exemple, une compagnie d'assurance-vie associée à votre banque).

These people keep calling me. I've had about 15 or so calls from them in the last week, and they never text, or leave messages. So I know it's not someone I know.

I tried calling that number from a work number, and the operator said "this number is long distance, please enter the appropriate area code", so it's clear it isn't based in Canada, either. Not that there was any shortage of evidence to that effect.

I just got a call from that number, they conduct surveys for something. I answered a few questions but it got too long so I asked to stop. lol

The law is for telemarketer this number is a survey company and the law does not apply to them.

But they will put your number on their own DO NOT CALL list with pleasure if you call them at 514-982-2464 or 1-800-404-2464.

Some of you might live under a rock or something, but Léger Marketing isn't your average annoying marketing. They are THE most recognized and respected survey company in PQ. They probably have offices around Canada also (not sure about that). I believe they have good policies, and so if you simply ask to be removed, they will do it, no questions asked.

Also, some of you should understand that it is a computerized system that calls you, not the person on the phone. The law states that no more than 10 secondes must past between the time you answer the call and the time the system transfers your answered call to the surveyer.. So if you don't hear nothing after 4-5 seconds, don't simply hang saying they don't talk, just give them the time.

Also, I was called by this number this morning, but not for a survey. I actually emailed them for some info, and they called me back to answer.

They do have offices in many provinces outside of just Quebec.

They are the biggest survey firm in Canada that is entirely own by Canadian and have been in existence for more than 20 years.
