This number is customer service for Sprint making sure that your plan is the most cost effective for your usuage.

I dropped Sprint for AT&T and the calls began!  Go figure!

No message but seeing that it was Sprint here is no surprise, my bill is due.

Got a call, no message, and it didn't make my phone ring.

Went to Sprint's "Contact Us"  site: http://www.sprint.com/contactus/ 

They had a lot of phone numbers listed. 866-993-0196 was not one of them.

This call was to my cell phone. I have gotten a lot of these kinds of calls. Have not figured out how to stop them. So, what I do is save the number in my phone and assign "No Ring Tone" to it. That way a call from one of these numbers do not cause my phone to ring.

It is not Sprint!!!! It is a fraudulent company who somehow gets hold of Sprint Customers information and contacts them regarding their bill.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL BANKING OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!! You will have your credit and personal identity compromised.  If you have any questions concerning your sprint bill my recommendation is to call Sprint directly yourself or use their online email or chat feature on www.Sprint.com.  866-993-0196 IS NOT SPRINT CUSTOMER OR FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!! I get calls from this 866-993-0196 a few times a week.  I answered once and could not understand what the caller was trying to say to me - he was of middle eastern descent and spoke extremely poor english.  I don't accept the calls but it does not stop company from attempting to contact me.  Anyone know how to report the caller to an agency?

If you don't want the calls, tell them you want to be on the do not call list, they will ask for name and number to fill out the paperwork.

When I called this back they answered Sprint

This number has been calling me almost everyday.  I never answer & they never leave a message.  A great idea from another post........add the number to your address book, name it SPAM, then assign the ringer MUTE.  When they call, you will not hear them & they will be forwarded to your voicemail.  Works for me!

well u know they are not calling about ur bill they are calling to make sure that u are on the best plan and to ensure that you are on the best plan and see if they can save you some money

well u know all u have to say is that you dont want to receive the calls and they can stop them

why just tell them u dont want the call and they can do it for u

I got a call with no voicemail and when I called back it was Sprint.  They wanted to see if I was happy and suggest new plans.

I went directly to sprint's webpage and to their customer support (to ensure that I'm talking to the real sprint).  I asked them about this and this is their reply verbatim:

The phone number you mentioned in the previous mail, 8669930196 is not a Sprint PCS number. The calls you received from this number were not made by Sprint.

i have been getting them too. and i do not even have sprint....

Whatcha wanna bet "Leslie" and "1111111" are working for the fradulent company? Just don't answer any unknown numbers. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

This number just called me and they did not leave a message.

I got the call too, missed the first call no voice mail was left. I called back.
They said they were sprint and that they wanted to "evaluate" my plan. Was a little wary at first but everything went ok. The lady I talked to actually said I could follow along so I did, and everything she told me was verified through my sprint account on sprint.com
She was actually able to save me money (roughly 40 per month) since I never really check my usage and didn't need ad many minutes. And having 2 kids on my plan and them wanting internet and all that fancy stuff I'm very happy to save some money in my budget!
If you havent checked your usage in a while it's worth a shot to see if you can save some money. it's rare these days to see a company reach out to it's customer to save them money not make them spend more money.
