I received a call at 7:30 a.m.1-989-555-0180 (who calls that early) my guess is to get the person still sleeping off guard. They called back at 8:30. They wanted me to turn my computer on saying something like Windows was infected or something. She kept repeating over and over again for me to turn my computer on, I was still half a sleep. I didn't turn my computer on and told her I was weary so she said t call her back at number 1-866-999-2908 and her name was Kathleen Stevens. I don't believe this is her name as I had a hard time understanding her as she sounded foreign.

I got the same call saying they are from service Canada n your Window 8 have a problem today. They were able to provide my address and last name but that's not the name the Internet is under. Nor can they tell me my full name when I asked. How can they get the info. Then I figure it still could be from the phone book. I ask them where they are located and they said U.S. That clicks me, why is Service Canada in U.S. Then I asked them for their number cause they can be fake. They gave me this number, so as any young person you would go online n search this number. I notice then that I couldn't find this number online during the call. It seems like my internet was blocked (can't even find this webpage) but I did find a location for the number and it' not in U.S. It's somewhere in South America. The person switch to a male representative and said he's Daniel, probably because I was making a fuzz of not turning my computer. Then at that point I exposed them. I was like you are not from US as you said because the number is not. I was like I'm not gonna listen to you. He was like I know but how did u find out. I didn't answer him and told him he waste my time cause I was sleeping. That idiot was like 'you are wasting my time' and 'it's illegal to sleep at 8am '. I was sooo mad at this point that I just said' ya it's legal, come find me and give me a ticket 'and hang up. Please please anyone please don't fall for these scammers. I don't know what will happen to your computer if you did follow their instructions.

I got the same stupid person with an East Indian accent telling me to turn on my window computer.  He said the computer was infected with a virus and that he needed to show me how to fix it.  My husband told me to hang up and the guy continued to repeat the same rhetoric.   I had to hang up on him since he wouldn't accept a "NO, not interested"!   He kept on repeating, "So you want to lose all your information on your computer madam!"   My husband thinks they'll walk you through breaking down the firewall protection to access your computer.  Don't do it!  If they call again I'm going to have a lot of fun wasting their time.

I got the same call saying they are from Service Canada Microsoft for Window 7 and my PC has a major problem today which can be corrected by me without ther intervention. They were able to provide my phone number  and a part of my last name but that's not the name the Internet is under. Asked my full name but Alain Peter from Service Department Canada was  not aible to give it to me. How can they get the info. At this moment I disconect the hab from outlet and I continue the game with them.  I ask them where they are located and they said U.S. That clicks me, why is Service Canada in U.S. Then I asked them for their number cause they can be fake. They gave me this number 866-999-2908 which on Internet is notify  with problems. Alain insists asking me to type < RUN: eventvwr> to see that my PC has issues. NO issues were noticed....., At this point their intentions were clear.
Next Alain Peter asked me to type iexplore www.ammyy.com. I tell him that I will not allow to connect remotly on my computer. Anyway, my hub was down and the PC disconected from Internet in case they were using other trics. I explained that that i AM un IT specialist and I know what they want.  I will send this  domain www.ammyy.com to cybercrime.

Same as all the above this guy said his name was Romeo Anderson  company was Soft Point Zone he sounded east indian.  Was very pushy and instant that I go to my computer.  I put him off.  Please do not fall for these guys they are a rip off.  I asked for phone number to call him back on he also gave the the 1-866-999-2908 and claimed to be working for Microsoft.  I think they want access to your computer to get at any banking you do on line  so they can access your accounts or will charge you to keep your computer virus free.

Unfortunately, I should say that I gave theme acces to my computer during about 5 min.  Don't tell me...a very bad idea...I bring my computer to a specialized firm that would do a master clean up.  What is the biggest risk of that ?
