I have got two calls from these scam artist. I was also told I had won $940,000.00 dollars in some publisher clearing house and also wanted me to call back at 1-876-288-5717.  Do not call this number or you will most likely have a big phone bill or want you to send them processing money to take care of the expense to send you the money that you will never get. Big Scam!!

I was told by the original caller (from another toll free number), that the above number was his supervisor, Arbor Johnson... Just so happens that the original caller's last name is Johnson also. They sounded like a mix of Nigerian/Pakistani. I ended up telling the Super to F off and lose my number.

I received a call from this number stating the same: publishers clearing house driver that would be arriving at my house in 45 minutes with a check for $950,000. They asked if I would be home. When I asked them to verify ny address they said they couldn't for security purposes. Then gave this nonsense asking if I could visit a western union to buy a "blue stamp" before they arrived. They said the stamp would help me clear the check and free me from the IRS. I told them I needed to ask my husband if he registered for us because I didn't. I also asked him to verify my address again and my name. He said again for security purposes he wanted me to verify that information. When I said no he told me to call the number back when I got to western union. Yeah right!

Area code 876 is the local telephone area code of the island nation of Jamaica and is considered an international long distance phone call. Scammers from Jamaica hope to trick you into thinking it is a toll free 1-800 type of number, it is not and you will be charged for making a call.

They called me and caused me distress. The man told me he was going to deliver a check and asked if I would be at home today and I said "no" and he abruptly hung up on me. Then I started worrying someone was going to try to break into my house while I am at work. The fact it is a scam makes me feel a little better. I did call the number back, but it was "changed, disconnected or no longer in service." I wonder what they gain from this? They did not attempt to obtain any personal information from me....

My father received today 12/11/12 five calls from these numbers today: 1-876-288-0206,1-876-587-0204 stating he won a 2012 Merced Benz, and 2.5 million dollars and for him to claim his prize he was to go to the local Walmart and or Walgreens and take $500.00 and go to the teller (they stated) and ask for a Green Dot money tack scratch card and gave me a code of 1-31KLG and once I get the so card "registration card" he was suppose to call 1-876-587-0204 with the number and they would come around 12:30 to deliver his prizes. also they stated he didn't need to send any money to anyone and that it was coming from Publishers clearing house and they were a company called Global International and they work along with the local police and FBI and the CIB (who is the CIB) so to protect against scamers!  I personally called them and got all this information from them and that if anyone else should call from their numbers to hang up WHAT???? I am contacting the local police, my phone company to place a trace, and the FBI if need be.  I told them if they were scamming my father (which they are and I played along with the excitement) reason why they kept calling the house to make sure we do what they ask us to do. Well they have another thing coming!  So please beware especially with your parents.
