Got the first call from this number at 7:30 a.m., Nov. 14, waking me up. The caller asked for my husband by first name, I explained he was out of town on a business trip. He asked if I could handle busines for my husband and I said no, I could not. I asked who he was and why he was calling at 7:30 a.m. and he said he was from UPS. Since we get probably 2+ UPS deliveries most weeks and have never been called first, I immediately became suspicious and demanded to know why he was calling and what the problem was. He got a bit nasty and said something like "Now you need to just get up, go have something to eat, and then call me right back."

Needless to say, I did not call him back, and checked with my husband, who knew nothing about why UPS would be calling, but said they were probably just looking for more business. But something about it just creeped me out and I felt uneasy all day. The man called back later in the day, left a message, but it is unintelligible other than a rather testy tone of voice. I have also had another call this morning. I will not answer them nor will I call them back, but have read enough about these "Jamaica 876 number scams" to know that my initial feeling that something was wrong is certainly correct.

Have also received a flurry of calls from 1-920 numbers and I will not answer them either . Thank God for Caller ID

This guy (David Washington) TRIED to say that he was from the Las Vegas Cash Awards Clearing House. He said that I had won 2.5 million dollars and a brand new white mercedes that has never been driven before. He said that the only stipulation was, that I would have to pay 1% of the 2.5 million dollars (2500 bucks) in order for their 2 US Marshals agents to deliver the check and the car. He also indicated that I had to go the the nearest Walgreens and get a credit card with the amount of 2500 bucks and to give him the account number. He also stated that he was from New York. When I tried to call him back, the phone number came up invalid. I tried to research the phone number on google....NOTHING. He has made 4 different phone calls to me as he is persistent for me to give him a credit card number. I told him I want to meet his 2 agents that are delivering the check and the car. So far, it has been 5 hours and still, he continues to call and they have NOT shown up at my doorstep. This is pure harrassment and a scam! His number is 876-303-3997.

Who is this creep that keeps calling?  I am having the same issues and he keeps calling demanding 2500 bucks before they deliver a check and a car.  They must think we are fooled! Did you get anymore information as to who they are?  I tried many attempts to find out where this number is, however, it comes back to NOTHING.  There isn't anything called Las Vegas Cash Rewards either (where I live) but the [***] seems to know where I live.  It's pretty creepy!

These jerks called my 92 year old neighbor and said the were going to come to her house with a limo  and a TV crew and she needed to send them $2500. Thankfully my neighbor is a smart cookie and scrooge with money and would never part with it. HA. But she was afraid that they would come to her house to rob her. I told her to stop worrying. They were in another country and would never come. Then they started calling me. Get one of those small hand-held air horns and when you see Kingston JM on the Caller Id ... don't say anything just blow the horn in the reciever, then hang up. Of course if you have a friend from Jamaica .. you might not have one after that. :)
