There was a lot of talking with another person. they finally answered after my third hello. and then they asked me if I remembered signing up for Publishers Clearing House a long time ago. I've been responded not really and the two voices Polk and then hung up on me.

Got call from 1-876-345-5136 caller ID said it was Jamaica.  Heard others on phone in back ground- asked if  I had entered Publishers Clearing House recently- When I said "No" the man hung up.

The same thing as Nancy's experience just happened to me.

yes  I been getting the calls to and when you say anything about no   then it like hold on I want to give you the prizes you have won  please  let me do this for you.  also wanted 150.00 on a green card  as a registration fee  can give me my millions  and the car with out the reg fee  yeah  right.. like to register my  foot righ up his butt.  been calling early morning  all week

I recite Ed a call today and just curious what is was about. Afraid to answer due to scams.

Person asked if I had signed up for publisher's clearing house. Told me to call another number. When I didn't she called back. I called other number. Receptionist sounded just like manager I was transferred to. Totally bogus. I am calling my cellular company now.

this person did the same here called pretending to be from publishers clearing house and told me I won 950 thousand dollars and a Mercedes they want me to put 500 dollars on a pay pal card to get the car and money, I told them I will not give any personal info to them and they said ok, they said as soon as I did that the car and money would be delivered today. I told them I can not come up with 500 dollars, they insisted on me borrowing money from friends and relatives.  I still would not give any info they said they will help me and will call tomorrow. I hope they can't get my information from my cell so I guess I need to call my cell phone carrier.

Betty Sue called me today she was driving the black flat bed truck with my Mercedes on it.  There were here in OKC ready to deliver it to me as soon as I call Mr Malone at 1-876-345-5132 (tol free she said) to collect my prize.  They were at a Chinese Restaurant in OKC getting a bite to eat before they deliver it to me.  I was asking (knowing it was a hoax) so many questions she finally hung up.  They did call my cell number and told me I signed up 7-8 years ago with Publishers Clearing House.

Got a call from this number today. Didn't answer because I don't know anyone outside the US except 1 person in Europe who doesn't have my cell number.  ID said they were in Kingston, JM.

DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER BACK!

1) The call was from a scammer, trying to entice you to send money
2) If you return the call, it will cost you money!  (Keep reading)
3) The 876 (Jamaica) prefix is VERY frequently used by scammers, and WILL cost you money if you call it back.

Some area codes are not toll-free numbers and calls from any other area code are billed at international long distance rates.

Some curious people return the call and will immediately be charged $19.95 for an international call fee and an additional $9-per-minute charge, according to a news release from the BBB.

Got a call from a David Dash.  Did I remember signing up with PCH awhile ago.  I said yes.  He said he was a driver and was 45 minutes away and I needed to call his manager, Mr. Malone, at 876-345-5132, Ext 5.  I asked him why I needed to call.  He was very upset with me.  Said he was just the driver and I needed to talk to the Manager.  Didn't I want my prize?  I told him PCH does not pre-call before prize delivery.  He was really annoyed that I would not call the number.  Called me back twice.  Yes, he sounded like he was from Jamaica.

Just got a scam cal from 876 817-1741 jamaica telling me i won publishers clearing house sweepstakes.  Don't fall for this scam.  

Yep just got a call from a guy who sounded like he had his nose pitched with his fingers.  He asked Do you remember signing up for Publishers ClearingHouse a long time ago?  I started laughing because I thought it was my uncle pranking me.  He was annoyed and asked again.  I laughed and said no!  He hung up!  

Got a call this morning wanting me to call this number immediately so I googled it found this he just called back wanting to know if I had called the manager I said no I had called the better business bureau and was told it was s scam he hung up!

PCH SCAM ASKED IF I REMEMBERED ENTERING A LONG TIME AGO

My father got a call on his cell phone from 876-345-5132. The caller was male but sounded like he was trying to disguise his voice. He just kept telling my father to f*** off.

I received a call from "David" who had a heavy Caribbean accent. He asked if I remember entering the Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes a long time ago then said I had won $1,000,000 and a new car. The crew delivering the prizes were 45 minutes away and that I needed to contact the prize manager before they arrived. I needed to call "Joe Malony" toll free at 1-876-345-5132 x5. "David" had me read back the number and confirmed it. I told him the area code 876 was not toll free; David said I was wrong. I replied "Nice try, you're a scammer because 876 is not toll free like area codes 877, 866, 855 and 844, it was an international area code located in the Caribbean area for which I would be charged connection fees and outrageous per minute fees and Publishers Clearing House is located in New York. And if I was to contact his prize manager he would have to give me a true toll-free number." David then cussed at me and hung up. My phone caller ID said unknown number. The number above is the number I was told to call.

Please people do not send money to these people it's a SCAM. Said it was Publishes Clearing House that I would receive my prizes of a Mercedes and $95500.00 after I went to Wal Mart and send them $799.00 to pay the taxes to the IRS. Malone spoke with a heavy accent that was not American but said he is in New York. Looking the number up it comes from Jamaica. People UPS does not deliver cars as I was told by Malone. Watch out and never give personal information to unknown people.
