- Neva HowellI saw two calls from this number on my cell phone missed calls report. Glad for the update here. I did not answer the call but I assume it's the same counterfiet scam. My cell phone number is on the do not call registry so I instantly suspect calls that I don't recognize anyway.
- Dee replies to Chris WilliamsI received a call from a guy with a strong accent, saying the same thing to me.. I won $800,000, and a new car, and I had to wire $350 to them.. I too knew something wasnt right.. This is crazy!! Still dont understand how they got my number..
- Bubba Hall| 1 replyI received a call from this number from a guy telling me he was with PCH (publishers clearing house) and that i just won $800,000 and a brand new car. I told him that my cell phone number is on the do not call registry and that PCH does not have my cell phone number. The man said do you want the money or not, why are you being a a-- hole? I just hung up at that point. It was a Mossel prepaid cell phone from Jamaica.(Mossel Jamaica Ltd) or (Digicel Jamaica). I dug a little deeper, I think the call originated from around or near Kansas City, Missouri.

- Wricketts| 4 repliesI just got a call from this number. After establishing that English is the primary language for the greater US of A, he introduced himself as Mark Kingston, or something like that. He said he was from Publisher's Clearing House and I had won 2.5 million dollars and a brand new Audi. He then says "if you've got a few moments, we need to get some bank info from you. But in the mean time, how do you feel about winning the money and car?" I said, "why don't you just send the check when you deliver the car?"
He hangs up.
Has anyone thought of pranking this number back?...I'm very tempted.- Caller: Publishers Clearing House

- Maxie 1Received a phone call at 4:20pm from 876-356-7050. Man spoke broken English( very heavy accent) but said he was calling from Publishers Clearing House and that I had won
$5MIL plus a Cadillac Escalade. When I asked what I had to do to get it, He became agitated and wanted to know why I was so doubtful. He also asked a few other questions about my belief in God. No problem because I do. Then he said I need to send him over $3,000.00 and I told him "I don't have that kind of money and if I won money just mail me a check." He again became agitated and I hung up. This surely is a scam!!!!- Caller: Publishers Clearing House?

- Karin| 2 repliesReceived a phone call from someone identifying himself as James Kennedy from Publishers Clearing House, Wednesday, May 9th, 2012. Mr. "Kennedy" (very heavily accented) then proceeded to tell me that I had won 2.5 million dollars and a brand new automobile. He then asked me to verify my address. When I asked him to verify my address he began to get aggitated. When I aksed him my last name, be became even more aggitated. I told him, if I had won 2.5 million dollars and a brand new automobile, he would know my name, my address and everything else there was to know about me. He then proceeded to call me a stupid girl and a foolish girl. When I told him I didnt appreciate being called stupid and foolish he became even more aggitated. He then asked me if I go to church. When I told him I was between churches at the moment, he said "well thats whats wrong with you!" "You dont believe in God" . When I turned the tables and asked him if he went to church he told me he was a Deacon at his church. I then quetioned him about how he could claim to be a christian but yet stand there and judge me and call me stupid and foolish!!! Needless to say, THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!! If you receive a call from this number PLEASE report it before he takes advantage of some unsuspecting elderly or other individual!!!!!

- Moediddle| 1 replyOk so last night and this morning a man named James Kennedy called mom. He told her that she had won 2.5 million dollars and a BMW . She has entered for the pch sweepstakes so she was in shock. He was telling her the same things. Asking if she went to church , what was she going to do with her money etc. Then the next morning he called an told her she needed to go to a western union and send 485.00 to them to a gps address at that and that it was to register her to get the money. He did get up set when we t Old him that we had called to verify this and they of course said it was a scam. He said that they were lying.. And he was just going to call the next winner because he could tell we were not going to send him money. Shacking my head on these ppl who do send money and the ppl who are doing it. Time only tell when it will catch up to those ppl.

- Sheila| 1 replyI received a call from James Kennedy about 2 weeks ago saying I had won 2 million dollars and a new car. I knew it was a scam so I just acted like I was so excited. I ask him when he would send me my check and he ask me why I was in such a hurry and I said because I was broke. He said I was crazy and hung up on me. On Monday, May 21 he called my son and told him the same thing. My son hung up on him. I had my son give me the number and I called it. It went to voice mail. I no sooner closed my phone than it rang and guess who it was! James Kennedy calling again telling me the same thing. I finally told him if I had won money from PCH they would be at my door with a check and he denied it still trying to convince me I had won. I told him if he didnt quit calling people trying to scam them I was turning that number in to the sheriffs dept. He got mad and told me F--- You and hung up. I guess that means I'm not getting my check. LOL

- The Angry 876 Consumer replies to SheilaNope! No check for you!!!!
But DO NOT call the 876 numbers! They are NOT toll-free, but rather a INTERNATIONAL prefix and that call can cost you a lot of money!!
You did well! I am proud of you. It's great fun to Hammer these morons!
What they don't seem to understand is that the areacode is a dead giveaway...
The stupid sounding Jamaican accent is another giveaway that trouble is calling you.
Lets look at simple logic/common sense....no company like "Publishers Clearing House" is going
to hire someone that can barely speak common ENGLISH. These people are located in a GHETTO near Kingston, Jamaica. They are uneducated/dumb as a box of rocks and it shows....
Keep up the good work!
