Got a call today from 876-# talked to the guy for about 30 seconds, put my phone down.  Came back almost an hour later the guy was still on the phone waiting for me. I am not sure what I had won but he wanted $500.00. Told the guy to get a better job, in so many words.  Let your friends know about jokers like this!!!

Briefly looked at my mobile phone and thought the call was from Jamaica NY; however, when person spoke I quickly looked at the Caller ID again and it displayed Kingston JM, so I hung up.

I recieved a call from 876-393-0860. The man said his name was HERB WEISENBURG and that he was with PUBLISHER'S CLEARING HOUSE. He stated that I won $1,000,000 and a brand new 2014 Kia. He asked me to call another number and enter a confirmation code then call him back at the 876 number above.

Got the same call from a guy with a thick accent saying his name was James russle. Lol. Could hardly understand what he was saying but finally figured out he was saying he was with PCH and I had won 1.5 million and a new car. Almost had me going seeing as how I had signed up for PCH. The accent with a name like James Russell is what got him busted.

Calls my cell phone all day.....have read about this number online being a scam....I don't know anyone in the country Jamaica !!!

Just got a call from 876 596 0860 and he said his name was something penetton. He asked me how I was doin an I said fine. His voice was real disstorted so I told him he had wrong# . An he said wat makes u think that . An I said cause I dont know u an u shouldnt b callin my phone. An he hung up. Then he called bac in a min an I rejected the called. Watch out for this.

DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER BACK!

1) The call was from a scammer, trying to entice you to send money
2) If you return the call, it will cost you money!  (Keep reading)
3) The 876 (Jamaica) prefix is VERY frequently used by scammers, and WILL cost you money if you call it back and don't have free international calling.
4) Some folks think all 8xx area codes are "toll free".  That is NOT true!  Scroll down for more 8xx numbers that will be charged at long distance rates.

Some area codes are not toll-free numbers and calls from any other area code are billed at international long distance rates.

Some curious people return the call and will immediately be charged $19.95 for an international call fee and an additional $9-per-minute charge, according to a news release from the BBB.
