I just received a call telling me I won a share of 750 grand and a new car.... She said she was Mrs. Blare and she was from a casino in Vegas. I couldn't make out the name of the casino. I looked up the number: Jamaica man.... a far cry from Vegas.  hehehe I didn't return the call!

I received a call today telling me I won a share of 1.6 million dollars and a new Mercedes Benz.  The company name is Winners International Lottery and the caller was Marsha or Marta Blair.  Sounds like the same person to me.

I received a message on my answering machine when I got home yesterday, from a Mr. Paul Campbell, at this phone number.  He had a foreign accent, which I thought was interesting for such a surname, and said he worked for "Lottery State Office", which doesn't even make sense.  He congratulated me for winning 2nd prize in their monthly drawing.  Since I don't buy any lottery tickets, I knew it had to be some sort of scam, and decided to return his call to see what his angle was.  Apparently lucky for me, a recorded message from the phone company said that number can no longer receive calls.  After hanging up I remembered reading e-mails warning me about certain calls that can snag all your private info and clean out your bank accounts.

Area code 876 is Jamaica. The lottery scam is one of many being run out of this country.

Beware of this number its a scam 876-842-8753 this man call and said to my wife she had won 2.5million and a 67,000 dollars MERC BENZ...... NOT he wanted her to go to Walmart to buy 3 cards for 500.00 dollars each with the scratch off on the backs of them, she told him that she did not have any money. He asked her if she had a charge card she said yes but it max out, he then ask her what was the balance, she said 1800.00 he said I will pay it off and so he did. Then the money was in the acount he said go take the money out and buy these cards, so my wife did as she was told because it was his money any way at that time but when she went to the bank she could not get the money at that time so she came home concern about her winnings she ask me if she could get 1500.00 dollars to buy these tickets of course being my wife I lone her the money but under one condition she close the account before I give her the money. My wife agreed to do this her card was paid off and we sent him the cards like he request. He then said everthing was good and dont talk to anybody the car is on its way ok great. Few hours later he called and said to my wife the guys who was bring the car over got stop in California and they need a 1000.00 dollars to get it out of impound and all of the winnings is with the car and we need to get it to you.?????????? MAY BE STUPID BUT IM NOT DUMMMM, I SAID TO MY WIFE TELL THEM TO TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF THE PRIZES WINNINGS AND BRING ME THE BENZ.
