- busy workerCaller greeted me with wrong time of day (good morning instead of good afternoon). I commented on the error, and he acknowledged it was afternoon, and something about Indiana (probably from my area code). He was hard to understand. Part of it may have been an accent, but the voice quality was bad.
After he repeated the same thing, and I said I could understand, and I kept challenging who was he calling. He then admitted that my cell phone had been selected. I told him no thanks, hung up, and added the number to my block list. - MS| 1 replyI got a call from this number today. He was very hard to understand. He kept saying something about a publisher? Who knows.. Man, I hate people like that.

They never require any money, purchases, taxes, fees, or deposits of any kind to get your prize.
Publishers Clearing House DOES NOT call, email, FAX, mail, any advanced notice that you have won.
"If you are ever contacted by someone claiming to represent PCH, or claiming to be one of our employees, and asked to send or wire money (for any reason whatsoever, including taxes); or send a pre-paid gift card or Green Dot Moneypak card in order to claim a sweepstakes prize – DON’T! It’s a SCAM. If you are sent a check, told it’s a partial prize award, and asked to cash it and send a portion back to claim the full prize award, DON’T. The check is fake, but the SCAM is real!
Publishers Clearing House does not operate this way and would NEVER ask for money to claim a prize award. PCH employees would never contact you personally or in advance to notify you of a prize award. Our prize awards are presented just the way you see in our popular TV commercials, ‘live and in person’ by our Prize Patrol, with balloons, champagne and check in hand - - and with no advance notification!" - JudzeeJust got a call from this number with a very bad connection. The guy was inarticulate and difficult to understand, said something about Ben Franklin? I figured I was about to get a pitch from some loser so I told him he had the wrong number. These guys are lame! How could anyone fall for this low quality performance?

- Bend, oregon| 1 replyThey said they work for ups and I won "$2.5 million and a flat screen tv". Sweet a flat screen!lol I got redirected to "Ben Franklin". Couldn't understand anyone I talked to. "Ben" said something about me being complicated and how he would rather give it to someone who is poor and needs the help. I cussed him out and he asked me to repeat the harsh words I just said, which I happily did. They wanted me to rush to Walmart and pick up some "green debt money back cash card" which I was supposed to put like $280ish on it to cover the fees for winning $2.5 million. Haha ya right. I reported this to ups, and am going to report it to the state attorney general on Monday.

- That Guy replies to Bend, oregonI just received a call from the same guy stating that I won a new Mercedes Benz and $850,000. When I asked how, he claimed that my cell number was randomly chosen from numbers in Georgia. He claimed that he was from the American Prize Company and that I could find their company information on www.winners.com. When that website didn't come up he said that "It must still be under construction". Then I when I doubted they were a real company he said that I had to "Put my trust in the lord, and the lord would protect me".
The only information I provided was that I wanted an automatic, blue, 4 door Mercedes :)
Definitely don't give any personal information!!! - Phyllis FlemingThis person is supposedly from Publishers Clearing House. He got VERY abusive when I said to NOT call me again. He said, "You can't stop me."
