He said that I had won a prize and needed to have a valid id to collect it.

A Jackson Benjamin called andaid we won $1.5 mil and a mercedes thru HGTV Contest called Urban Oasis.  Said the company was fromJ amaica NY, not Jamaica. and had an office in Alma Arkansas.  Wanted us to go to a walgreens store and by some phone card or Ins. card or something for $299.  Had a slight foreign accent and didn't sound like he would be representing HGTV.  The phone number he gave to call him back was 876-438-2845.  BEWARE!!!

This dude called for someone else (obviously a wrong number), but then started hitting on me saying why didn't I accept his friend request on facebook, then it went downward from there, finally he said he wanted me to be his wife.  I hung up.  He sounded drunk and he said his name is Javier Robinson.

I got a call from a man saying he was from HGTV Oasis Urban Giveaway and that I had won 1.5 million and a mercedes.  He wanted me to go to a Western Union and wire him $100.00 for a claims reciept and then he, his lawyer and two marshals would meet me the same day with the money and car.  What an idiot!  He is a scammer and I feel sorry for all of those people who don't know any better and get scammed.  Be Aware and don't fall for this scam!  His number was 876-438-2845 and he wanted me to stay in touch until I could get the money to wire him and then he would give me the info I needed to wire the money.

Scam call from Urban Oasis saying I had won a Mercedes Benz as a 2nd prize in some contest.  Gave a prize number to me and then asked me to answer some questions. This was taking too long, and obviously a scam, so I hung up before hearing the questions.

Call saying I won second prize from Urban Oasis in a contest and won $485,000. I hung up before I could hear the rest. The guy talked real slow.

Just got a phone call from a private # Said me and my wife won a second prize contest from urban oasis giveaways saying we had won  a 2nd prize of $450,000.00 and a 2011 chevy volt we have a out of state phone number and was suprised and studdered when we told him we didnt live in the city my phone number was for he said he was in the city my phone is from but his company is in jamaica told me to collect my prize i had to go to a western union and wire him $600 and he would wire me $10,000 and mail me a cashiers check for the rest and i would recieve my car sometime in the next couple of weeks i told him i would call him back and he gave me this phone number (876)438-2845 beware this is a scam he was really happy talking to my wife but when i got on the phone he sounded confussed and when i asked a question he just repeated himself BEWARE!!!!!! YOU DONT WIN ANYTHING YOU JUST END UP LOOSING MONEY!!!!!!!!

Got a call from a guy (he said his name was Sam) who told me I won $389,000.  He said he was with Urban Oasis and Publishers Clearing House.   He said my local Walmart, Walgreens or grocery store had entered my phone number into the sweepstakes for me, which sounded very unlikely to me.  Then he started talking about my cash prize of $189,000 and a car that was going to be delivered to my house by a Publishers Clearing House representative and an FBI agent.  He said I had to answer some questions to verify I was eligible to claim the prize and he said I had to show some sort of scratch card that proved my identity that I could get from Walmart (so strange, right?)   I told him that the prizes he promised were not what was listed on the Urban Oasis website and he needed to provide me with more information.  He took my fax # and hung up.  He never did send a fax with more information.

Just received a call only 6 days before Christmas...I've been playing PCH for the past 2 years with no luck...Well, of course i was excited a mother with 3 kids, no income and daughter headed of to college...The caller stated I had won 500,000.00 and a Black AS Class Mercedes Benz, Hmmmm...Gave me a prize control number and stated that HGTV would be arriving at my house along with the treasury chief of publisher's clearing house to present me with this...Okay...Mr. David Allen proceeds on explaining, get this my car and money would be deliver by UPS, maybe he forgot he just mentioned I was going to be meeting HGTV and treasury chief of PCH...He needed me to pay 750.00 which was 2% of the shipping fees so that everything would be insured, if I couldn't come up with all, then pay half to a storage facility(bank) and (storage unit) to hold the car and money until i paid the remainder, once the remainder was paid I would receive my prizes....I would love to have received a half of that money to help me with my elderly parents getting out of a mold infested home, completing my edcucation, and having my kids not depend on the government to pay their education....This is ridiculous when people have to scam other people out of money they don't even have....Totally ridiculous and i'm pissed.

Yep, called my government cell with this crap.  Looks like the Nigerian 419 scam has hit the cell phones.

You should have heard our name calling contest.  When you get them shook up they really lose their cool.  Start out by telling him what a no good scammer he is and he totally goes to pieces.

I just finished a phone call with this idiot.  Same scam, and with his accent, it's hard to hear who he is with.  I told him that this sounded like a nigerian scam.  I finally got him to say "urban oasis" and it took me about 30 seconds to find the scam online.  I blasted him.  He listened to me berate him for about a minute, and then he hung up.  Funniest thing to happen all week.

Just received a call from a different 876 number with the same 500,000$ 2nd prize with a 2012 Mercedes Benz AS something something black interior and wants a wire transfer of 451$ for registration fees. I'm calling the cops and reporting this crap. What loser tries to scam a single, unemployed (medically retired veteran) mother? The number I have is 876-894-2729 and the caller identified himself as James Walker.

got the same scam just now saying i won second prize for 500,000.00 and the 2012 mercedes same guy called himself james walker phone number i had was 876-894-2729, tryed to get me to drive to a western union to pay a fee of 95 dollars right then.

3/ 19/2012  Call fronm 876-894-2792.  Caller said he was calling from Publisher's Clearing House associated with the local WalMart Store and he had a million dollar prise for my aunt and a beach house in Florida and for $350.00 fee to complete the paperwork he was coming to her home to present her a million dollar check.  All she had to do was to either meet him at a Martin Luther King Address in Morgan City, LA or he would come to home tomorrow morning at 8am to award her prize and pick up the $350.00 to complete the paperwork for the Florida house.  Called Publisher's Clearing House, definitely a fraud!  Best thing you can do if they call you from an 876 area code is hang up!

I just got the same call from the same number. He kept asking me to say ok. really wierd so I hung up.

What you had on the end of that line was a dirty,black "Chimpanzee" dressed in filthy shorts and a ripped up wifebeater shirt. He was sitting in a small leanto with chickens/roosters running around (you can usually HEAR them in the background).His "Computer" was a "Etch-A-Scetch" that he was looking up your info on.
They DO use "MagicJacks" registered so they LOOK like they are in 702 (vegas) 775(reno) 305(florida) 256(alabama) and a few others....
BE SMART! ask yourself who in their right mind would hire someone that SOUNDS like these Dingbats?

i got a call form this number in the morning. I told him i busy he instead to talk saying i won 1st prize getting 450000 dollar so i got pissed call him a mother f all the good the stuff he called saying i shoud not talk him like that because his giving me all that money.
